We always love visiting peel park, especially as the seasons are changing, we observe the trees, and have the most fun finding conkers! 🌳🍁

It's a little early for them, but we were lucky enough to find a few for our pockets 🌰🧡

We're already looking forward to returning as we approach Autumn 🍂

It's been a while since we've enjoyed the stickman trail in Polbeth community woods and gardens.
Today we headed along with Vahri's Childcare and we were so pleasantly surprised at how fantastic the Community Woods and Garden, Polbeth & West Calder looked! 🌳🪵
We enjoyed the 500 meter Welly boot trail, reading clues to find out the names of each Welly boot and their favorite picnic snack, it was fantastic! The children enjoyed snack at toadstool tables and we admired the allotment area with all of the fresh vegetables growing 🌱

Getting outside is so beneficial to the children, and having such great community spaces like this! 🌳💚

Walking around I especially enjoyed the quotes stating why being outdoors is important to our wellbeing, my favourite stated:
'Even a 20 minute walk in nature can help children regulate their bodies better, by tuning in on how they are feeling and connecting with the wider world' 🌎💚

🍎🍏APPLES🍏🍎

They're always a popular snack, but where do apples come from? 🍏🌳

Today we found out!

We headed along to Bellsquarry orchard to look at where apples grow, observing the different colours, sizes of them, exploring the trees they grow on. 🌳
Heading into the sweet little wooden beehive to enjoy some apple themed activities to expand our learning, incorporating fine motor skills through colour sorting red and green, and mark making, drawing our own round apples ✏️

What a beautiful learning environment, out in nature around real apple trees, better than any book in my opinion! ❤️🍏 with our friends from Vahri's Childcare
