Today we weeded the soil on the developing garden at the station. Plans to build a rockery were delayed as the rocks were out of stock. However, the first delivery is arriving next week so the garden will start progressing again.

Officers are continuing to appeal for the help of the public to trace Richie Potts, 28, who has been reported missing from West Lothian.

Richie was last seen around 1.15pm on Friday, 7 August, 2026, on Nigel Rise, Dedridge, Livingston. He was reported missing on Tuesday, 18 August, 2026.

He is described as around 5ft 6ins tall, of medium build, with short light brown hair. When last seen, Richie was wearing a grey zip-up top, two-tone grey trousers and black trainers.

Richie has contacts around West Lothian but may have also travelled to Glasgow.

Inspector Kylie Barnard said: “Enquiries remain ongoing to trace Richie, and I am continuing to appeal to the public for any information that could assist in tracing him safely.

“If anyone has seen Richie, or someone matching his description, please get in touch with police.

“I’d also appeal to those in the Livingston area where Richie was last seen to review any private CCTV footage to see if it has captured anyone matching his description.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1460 of 18 August, 2026.

We have been made aware of antisocial and dangerous behaviour at the Lanthorn Community Complex, Dedridge.
Yesterday, (Sunday 16 August) members of the public reported a group of young people trespassing on the roof of the Lanthorn Centre.
The group created a makeshift walkway (pictured) to get between different sections of roof. As you can see this could have gone very wrong, very quickly. Thankfully, as far as we are aware, no one came to any harm. The 'walkway' will be removed. Police Scotland have also been informed.

Accessing roofs is obviously very dangerous and this behaviour can’t be condoned under any circumstances. We are using Facebook in the hope that parents living in the area to speak to their children about the dangers of accessing the roofs and engaging in this kind of behaviour. There was a real risk of someone being seriously injured. If anyone had attempted to use the makeshift walkway between the buildings, or had fallen from the roof, the consequences could have been severe.
