A little jaunt to Linlithgow this morning to feed the ducks and have a play at the park!!

Not only do I get to do what I Love and look after children and support their families but I get to do it while spending time with my own children!!

Summer holidays spent doing lots of fun activities with my little ones in toe 🫶🏼

✨Little B is off to Nursery after the summer ✨

B had her last day with Little Bear Childcare (last week) and what better way to spend her last day with us than with a trip to Eliburn park while the big ones were at school, finished off with a farewell party back at the setting!! 🥳🎉🩷

Becoming a childminder has been the most fulfilling and rewarding decision I have ever made ♥️

Little B was one of my first Littles and because I’m a small intimate setting with a ratio of (3:1)
I have been able to really focus on delivering the best possible early learning experiences for Little B while providing a warm and nurturing environment. She has come on so much developmentally and has thrived in my setting with good learning outcomes, ready to move on to her next big adventure at nursery!! 🫶🏼

Did you know 'All three and four year-olds and eligible two year-olds benefit from 1140 hours a year of funded ELC. These hours are free to parents, funded by the Scottish Government, and administered through local authorities.

Childminders can become a partner provider with their local authority to deliver funded

Why risky play is good for your child’s development?!

When children experience the uncertainty of challenging or risky play, they can develop emotional reactions, physical capabilities and coping skills that expand their capacity to manage adversity. These skills are important for resilience and good mental health in childhood and into adolescence!! ♥️♥️

ROAD SAFETY Practice with the littles! 🛣️🛑👂

Road safety is very important and the younger we teach it the safer and more confident they will be when crossing roads! ♥️

We have been working on this for a few weeks now and the Littles were able to confidently recite the steps one by one to me…

STOP 🛑 - on the pavement we’re it is safe!

LOOK 👀- both ways to see if there is any traffic coming or going!

LISTEN 👂- for any traffic noises that may be approaching!

THINK 💭- Is it safe to cross?!

GO 🟢 🚦- Walk safely across to the other side!
