Another successful fun morning at bookbugs. The girls loved getting included in the songs and actions with Bookbug.

Little O really seemed to fully enjoy it knowing what to expect from the session.

Yipeeee

Followed by feeding the ducks and playpark.

➑️Repeating activities in familiar places is really valuable for children’s learning because each visit gives them the opportunity to build on what they already know.πŸ™ŒπŸŒŸπŸ˜

Today I had the absolute pleasure of welcoming a wonderful ex-mindee back to Vahri’s Childcare β€” this time as my little helper! ❀️

Little I is such a special person, getting far ro grown up 😭, and getting an opportunity with a new role and a chance to help, encourage and engage with the younger children.

These moments are what childminding is all about , not just a small part of her life but a lifelong part and memories to which last forever πŸ₯°

πŸ’‡β€β™€οΈπŸ’‡β€β™‚οΈ"Lets play Hairdressers"-little O πŸ’‡πŸ’‡β€β™€οΈ

The children enjoyed taking on different roles, chatting, sharing, taking turns and using their imaginations as they created their own hairdressers.

It’s so important for me to join in and follow their lead, but also to step back and let them play independently together. This gives me the opportunity to see their confidence, communication, friendships and problem-solving skills developing naturally.

Sometimes the best learning happens when we simply give children the time, space and freedom to lead their own play.

Little L loved being the receptionist taking calls and bookings

Little C was very much enjoyed getting his hair back to perfection from our excellent hairdresser Little O.

I even got a chance to be pampered, what a brilliant salon with excellent experience πŸ‘πŸŒŸ

ACTION CARDS β›ΉοΈβ€β™‚οΈπŸ€Ύβ€β™‚οΈβš½οΈ

The children explored the new ball action and movement cards in the garden. They looked at the pictures and words, worked out what each action meant and then had a go themselves.
This encouraged the children to be active, make choices, follow instructions and develop their coordination, balance and gross motor skills. The visual prompts allowed children of different ages and abilities to participate at their own level.
