🌟Playroom reset🌟

After a summer off, I've spent the weekend cleaning and rotating toys adding a touch of autumn to make our room cozy ready to settle back into our routine and the approaching season!🍂

Looking forward to welcoming my little ones back and a new baba starting too 🤗

Will be thinking of my leaver starting her new preschool this week too, we hope she loves playing with new toys and making new friends🍀 We will miss you 😘

Sun-Safe Superstars Summer 2026

I updated my Sun safe accreditation back in May and put it into practice with the children

☀️I provided parents with sun safety info and a sunsafe superstar pack for the children to take home that included UV cards and the lyrics to a song that I and the children would be singing everytime we applied suncream so they could continue their learning at home!

Every day at Tannie's Day Care; I and the children:
☀️ Checked the daily UV levels and matched numbers and colours to our UV cards
If the UV Levels reached 3 or above:
☀️We sang 'slip slop slip' as we applied our suncream, t.shirts and a hat! 🧴👕👒😎
☀️We regularly played in the shade or indoors and rested with cool fans circulating the room when it was too hot!
☀️We kept our bodies cool by drinking lots of water and playing in lots of it too!💦

☀️ We read our new 'George the sun safe superstar book' and dressed as superheroes! re-enacting the story!

Opening cards and presents
💐Ones for me (blown away by all I received and certainly didn't expect)
🎁 Gifts for our leaver
🎁🎁🎁 And summer gifts I made up for my little ones to enjoy over summer.
📖 Sharing the photo book I made for my leaver, looking at photos, talking about memories we've made and reading what I'd wrote to her, holding back the tears.
🥰 It was so special to open all of these together.🥰
💦 Play date with all our friends celebrating last days and birthdays with lots of water play

Time has gone too quick!!
It has been an absolute pleasure to childmind both her and her brother before she came along and to work with a wonderful family all these years!
So sad to see her go but wish her the best adventures at nursery.
We will all miss her sooo much!

Visiting a fire station 🚒🧑‍🚒🔥
What an amazing experience this was!
One of my little ones fireman dad's gave us a tour of the station, we heard the sirens sounds, lights flash, had a turn of the hose, tried uniforms on and ofcourse ran through the water of the hose on a hot day!!
Thanks again to 'fireman dad' for giving us this experience and for making it so much fun. My little ones said they want to go back tomorrow (everyday 😂🥰)
