Adult-led play this morning in our toddler room🐒♥️
• Puzzle: the children did amazing job at recognising where the missing puzzle pieces belonged as well as understanding and recognising their alphabet and numbers, with little adult support.
• Story den: the children enjoyed exploring the story props and listening to their teacher read their story.
• Animal prints: The children enjoyed speaking about the animal noises and exploring colouring mixing.
• Water play: the children had to clean our animals which had paint all over them, the children did an amazing job at this and had so much fun!

Book Of The Week: The Tiger Who Came To Tea🐯🫖
• In the water play the children used the nets to find the tigers that were hiding, encouraging children with their fine motor skills.
• In the communication friendly den, the children sat inside whilst a teacher read the story and used props to help engage the children’s imagination while boosting communication and language skills.
• The tuff tray allowed children to create tiger food while practising using spoons, strenthing fine motor skills and feeling the different textures.
• Play dough tiger making, this activity allowed the children to use their imagination while mixing playdough with black pipe cleaners and googly eyes to create their own tiger.

🌊🐚 Our babies loved exploring our “Under the Sea” tuff tray today! Through scooping, pouring, digging and discovering, the children were developing their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and sensory awareness. The different textures, colours and sea creatures also encouraged curiosity, imaginative play and early language skills as we talked about what we could see and feel🐠🦀📚

🥛🐄 Our toddlers enjoyed exploring our farm-themed sensory tray today! As they scooped, poured and mixed the “milk”, the children were strengthening their fine motor skills, coordination and problem-solving abilities. The different utensils encouraged independent exploration, while the farm animals sparked imaginative play, communication and conversations about animals and life on the farm🌾🥄🐮
