🫟 We’re expanding! Brand-new studio, right next door! 🚪

I’m thrilled to announce that art-K Smithdown is moving to a larger, more spacious studio, just next door at 288 Smithdown Road! ☀️

With my move-in date on 1st June, watch as I shuffle my creative studio into its new premises and witness a new window display come to life! 🎨

What does this mean for my current customers?

⭕️ No logistical changes for you – just a few footsteps further to my new front door.
🔵 A bigger studio for your child/children to enjoy!
⭕️ More wall space for exhibitions throughout the year, so your children can be artists both in practice and on display!
🔵 Room for pushchairs to fit in at pick-up! 🎉
⭕️ Lovely large windows with natural light, where you can take a peek at our classes in action.

🐹 Swipe for a surprise! 🧜‍♀️

We spent a lot of time at art-K drawing from 3D objects, as it is a wonderful challenge to see a 3D object and understand the lines and curvature needed in a sketch book to capture it in 2D. ✍️ It’s rather tricky!

After a few weeks of drawing animals, students combine their creature together to create their own ideas. ⭐

Although a mermaid was not in my animal box collection, this student asked to combine a hamster and a mermaid. She designed it then created it in clay. Isn’t it fantastic!! 🤩

There is still time to join my Weekly Art Classes, with classes after school and at weekends Tuesdays to Saturday. 🎨

It’s a great week or two to have your child or children be creative. Art is relaxing, calm and stimulating! 🌟

There will be projects available to pick on the day in watercolours, acrylics, clay, mixed media and more.

Sessions are 2 hours or 5 hours long. The full day 5 hour session has a one hour lunch break with art games - please provide a packed lunch, snacks and drinks will be provided throughout the day. 🍪

Sessions are led by me, Bella! I am a qualified art teacher and artist! 👩‍🎨 My studio is Ofsted regulated, a calm and happy place for all, and did you know that I can accept Childcare Vouchers too? 🌼

⭐ Artwork of the Week! ⭐

The smile says it all! A very proud student with her first ever art-K project to take home today. She has learnt how to group clan together for strength, roll out clay to the correct thickness, cut out her fish shape and stamp in patterns. Then also to paint into all the creases. 🐠

After a Trial class, we work on longer term projects, to build up skills at each individuals own pace. No pressure, no rush, just enjoyment and learning. 🎨

🐻 May Half Term Holiday Workshops are live! 🐻

With half day (2 hours) and full day (5 hours) workshops available on selected dated throughout the 2 week half term here in Liverpool, there is so much fun to be had!

🗓️ 23rd May - 5th June.

For ages 6-16 years old, your child will be able to choose a project in any medium, and have a fantastic session being guided by me to design, create and complete a 2 hour or 4 hour project!

🎨 Please note that for a full day session, students must bring their own packed lunch.
🍪 Snacks and drinks will be provided throughout the day!
