🎨 Start your Term smiling! 🎨

♥️ My arty heart is full welcoming my regular weekly students back to art-K Smithdown for our new Autumn Term! It’s also been a pleasure to welcome so many new students, and keep that skill and passion of art circulating in Liverpool!

New to art-K?
📍 My studio is on Smithdown Road
📍 I have mixed aged classes 5-18 years old and an 11+ Secondary Class
📍 You can book a Trial class - one lesson to try before a termly commitment
📍 My classes run Tuesday - Saturday
📍 Each child is individually supported through an age appropriate curriculum and lots of 1-2-1 help
📍 We work in clay, acrylics, watercolours, drawing, mixed media and more!
📍 Each child works at their own pace with non pressure - only encouragement and skills based creative learning!
📍 I am nurturing a caring and passionate community of artists, and social skills and friendships are also a bit part of our club 💚

🖼️ 15 weeks of creative learning, thriving and inspiration are about to begin!! 🖼️ Who’s excited for Autumn Term!

My weekly art classes consist of:
🎨 Mixed aged classes or a specific 11+ Secondary Class
✏️ Individual personalised and enriching curriculum
🎨 Two projects per class!
✏️ Long term skills nurtured to grow - art is education!
🎨 Classes with kind and likeminded students

🍨 Summer Workshops have been tantalising! 🍦

🎨 Here are a few highlights of the projects and imagination in my Summer Art Workshop!

🏖️ Away on holiday? Don’t worry, you can sign up for a Trail Class starting in September, in my afterschool weekly art classes (and on Saturdays too!)

🍂 Autumn Term Weekly Classes are fast approaching! 🍂

🎨 Why not start your child’s School Term with a wonderful and enriching afterschool club, where art mediums can be explored, imagination is pulled in all directions and new friends are there to be made!

🖼️ Weekly tuition is a fantastic way to create a healthy routine, and in the words of many of my students, “art-K is my favourite part of the week!”

🤩 We work on 2 projects per class, over the term, meaning students can take their time, learn new skills, and paint or build projects that they will LOVE to take home and feel proud about!

📍 At art-K Smithdown we work in acrylics, watercolours, clay, inks, paper-mache, mixed media, pastels and more!
📍 Classes are mixed ages 6-16 years old
📍 I have a separate Home Education class on Thursdays at 13:00
📍 I have a specific 11+ class (also suitable for GCSE and A-Level) on Tuesdays at 17:50
📍 You can book a Trial class to see how you like it, then book for the full term!
📍 I accept Childcare Vouchers

🖼️ Adult Oil Paintings on display!! 🖼️

I’m SO proud of my students who have just finished their Week 3 in my 4 Week Beginner Oil Paintings Course that I’ve had to put their drying work in the window this evening!!🪟 🐚

Can’t wait to take photos of them in the daylight but they’re too good to not share.

We have gone from spending the first two weeks learning skills and being very guided by myself to a more independent lesson this week. 🐚

I curate the course to give group teaching with lots of 1-2-1 feedback. 👩‍🏫

🤔 How many facial expressions do teachers pull in a lesson? 🤔

🤩 Turns out, quite a few..!

🌞 It’s so important that when I’m teaching or talking to my students they know they have my FULL attention, because their words, questions, observations and stories are matter! 💚

Here in my art-K Smithdown Studio, I think it would be fair to say there is a deep respect and enthusiasm between me and my students teacher-student relationship, we really love our art classes, our learning and being authentically ourselves. 😃

🎨 Arty Summer Holidays Workshop! 🎨

🐝 Underground tunnel words, clay lily pads, art-K animal buses, many manta-rays, buzzing bees, curly octopi, flower, clay ice cream pots , beach huts and crabs..! 🦀 It’s been a busy week!! ☀️

👩‍🏫 Classes are for children aged 5 - 16 years old and are 2 hours or 5 hours!

🐞 Lily pads and bugs! 🐞 Same projects, two different aged students! 🍃

These were made over 4 hours in my Summer Holiday Art Workshops! Students used clay, learnt how to roll and shape their leaves, then how to score and blend, to create secure artworks! A few layers of paint and a beautiful creation to take home.

I’m open all holiday, on selected days, come and join the fun!

🌞 Looking for your children to have an enriching and fun summer? Why not try one of our Summer Holiday Art Workshops? 🌞

So many families feedback to me that after the art workshops, their children are continuing making art at home! 😍

We have projects in clay, watercolours, acrylics and mixed media! Workshops are on weekly throughout the summer holidays on selected days, with morning and afternoon sessions.

🖼️ Come and join my wonderful team in assisting in my children’s mixed aged classes (ages 6 - 16) in term time. The role includes:
- Helping set up the art class
- Learning each child’s projects and needs
- Mixing paints accurately and collecting art materials
- Supporting young students in their artist learning
- Following instructions accurately in a fast paced environment
- Washing brushes and cleaning the studio

🌟 I’m looking for an enthusiastic individual to join my team, who has a passion for art and helping others. Must be kind, trustworthy and reliable. Full training provided.
