🎨 Volunteer Spotlight: Meet Lucia 💚

Lucia first joined Parkhaven Trust as a volunteer to gain local experience through arts and crafts. Since then, volunteering has become an important part of her life.

Through creativity, conversation and companionship, Lucia has built genuine friendships with residents, learning their stories and creating special moments. One resident even affectionately named her their "special designer" after making handmade cards together – a memory that perfectly captures the impact of volunteering.

Lucia says volunteering has become a place where she can slow down, connect with others and find a little peace away from the busyness of everyday life.

We're incredibly grateful to Lucia and every one of our volunteers who give their time, kindness and compassion to enrich the lives of the people we support. 💚

From classical favourites to rock, blues and show tunes, Peter's performances create something truly special. Whether it's residents tapping their feet, singing along or reminiscing about treasured memories, his music brightens every visit.

Peter says the best part of volunteering is sharing music with others – but we're just as grateful for everything he brings to our Parkhaven family. His kindness, dedication and passion make a real difference to the lives of the people we support.

An exciting opportunity has become available to join Parkhaven Trust as our new HR Business Lead.

📍 Location: Maghull, Merseyside
⏰ 28 hours per week (Permanent)
💷 Salary: £44,709 pro rata

This is a key leadership role, working closely with our CEO and Executive Team to help shape the future of our workforce, culture and organisational growth.

We're looking for an experienced, values-driven HR professional who can provide strategic and operational HR leadership, support managers across the organisation and help ensure Parkhaven remains an employer of choice.

At Parkhaven Trust, we've been supporting older and vulnerable adults across Maghull and Sefton since 1888. With services including residential care, extra care housing, dementia support and supported housing, we're proud of our strong reputation, high satisfaction levels and commitment to making a difference.
