An exciting opportunity for young people from the UK to study Classical Greek in this pilot we are running with Highgrove Education. Classics for All are offering upto 5 bursaries for state school students but the students from any school can apply via email: [email protected] and those wishing to apply for bursaries can do so: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/e/EF7duwYYST

We are delighted to be supporting this new initiative with Highgrove Education to offer Classical Greek lessons online to students from any school. Classics for All will be providing upto 5 full bursaries for state school students who meet our criteria.

It all started with an enthusiastic Latin teacher at her London school. One thing led to another. Cambridge. Ancient Greek. More than a decade as a lawyer. Teacher. Private tutor. Four books. And now, she's joining us for Overboard.

Caroline K. Mackenzie read Classics at Cambridge and practised as a Private Client solicitor in London for over a decade. A career in teaching followed, first as a lecturer at a London law school and then as Head of Classics at a school in Sevenoaks. Founder of Classics Club, an online reading group for all ages and backgrounds, Caroline also teaches Greek and Latin to students aged 8-88 across the UK and the US. Caroline’s publications include Pocket GCSE Greek Etymological Lexicon (Bloomsbury, 2026) Pocket GCSE Latin Etymological Lexicon (Bloomsbury, 2022) and Culture and Society at Lullingstone Roman Villa (Archaeopress, 2019).

On 1 October, Caroline will make her case. You decide whether her character stays afloat or gets tossed from the boat.
