EQs are the most misunderstood and over-used area of DJ fundamentals. I see it all the time online and in my in-person lessons.
That’s why the level of detail in my course is so high. This is where my knowledge as a music producer comes in, providing that extra level of detail needed to fully master and understand EQs.
I use a visual equalizer to give in-depth detail on exactly how these 3 bands affect the range of frequency, something that you won’t find in any other online DJ course.

I started DJing 19 years ago, and over time that passion grew into both performing and helping others learn the art. Over the years I’ve taught hundreds of beginner and self-taught DJs the fundamentals in person, and I’ve built this course to bring that same teaching online.

Always a pleasure visiting Peterhouse for their Careers Week—this was my third year in a row and I look forward to it every time! The students are amazing. They show so much interest in music, DJ effects, and even the vibrations from the speakers as a sensory experience.

It’s always rewarding to see how DJing can be such an engaging and interactive activity, especially for students with autism, who connect with music in unique and inspiring ways. Massive thanks to the staff for having me again - hope to be back soon!
