🤝🏻The relationship we build with our clients is a special one; therapeutic relationship. It is grounded in the core conditions of empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard.
This means in simple words: I meet my clients with true self, building trust through my words and actions, showing true empathy by being curious about our their world and providing non judgment and acceptance💫
When clients experience being truly heard, accepted, and understood, something powerful happens.
The therapeutic relationship becomes a secure base— a secure attachment- a place where they can explore difficult emotions, challenge old beliefs, process trauma, and even make movement towards growth and change.
It is within the safety of this relationship that clients begin to develop a more compassionate relationship with themselves.
Over time, the security, trust, and acceptance experienced in therapy can be internalised, helping clients navigate life with greater confidence, resilience, and self-awareness.
This part can often go un acknowledged as it’s a way of showing up in the relationship but without this key ingredient- no work can happen as it provides trust and safety in order for connection and openness✨
The relationship itself is not just the setting for therapy; it is a key part of the healing🥰
