Little Cedars Montessori Ltd

Our preschoolers have been diving into Montessori activities by threading flower stems through holes to create beautiful flower masterpieces. This fun experience has really encouraged teamwork, as the children help one another, while also enhancing their fine motor skills and fostering independence in choosing their flowers for their vases. Afterward, they returned indoors to add some colour to their creations. One child joyfully exclaimed, “I love flowers!” which sparked a delightful conversation about becoming a florist. She shared with excitement, “I want to do that when I’m big like my mummy.” It was wonderful to witness such engaging conversations and their enthusiasm!

Little Cedars had an exciting outing to Liverpool to visit the World Museum! The children were buzzing with anticipation as we took the train from Prescott, ready for our adventure. They were absolutely fascinated by the huge sculptures and thrilled to explore the different floors, each filled with incredible wonders.

After our museum adventure, we enjoyed a delightful picnic in St John’s Gardens, sharing some tasty food and chatting about all the amazing things we had seen.

To let off some steam, we played a fun game, which helped us recharge for our next stop. We then went to the Playhouse Theatre to watch “The Dinosaur Who Popped a Rock Show,” which everyone absolutely adored! It truly was a fantastic day!

Our toddlers have been loving singing 5 little ducks at circle time so what better way learn and play the creating our own duck pond and building a train track around our lovely duck pond as another big interest in the room is transport vehicles! Well done toddlers, we’ve had an amazing time!

The children have enjoyed a wonderfully messy morning filled with sensory play! They explored our tuff tray with foamy snow for animals, oats for dinosaurs, and a car track that really boosted their fine motor skills, which they absolutely loved.

We also set up another tuff tray resembling a real-life pond, complete with bark, stones, and leaves. This created a lifelike environment, allowing for engaging play with ducks and boats. It sparked amazing conversations and encouraged everyone to share their own home experiences, which made the activity even more special!

Our preschool children had a wonderful morning helping us to open all our amazing new parcels for our new preschool room! The children were very excited unboxing our furniture, using team work and having gentle hands! Well done preschool! We can’t wait to get into our new room.

The children had a wonderful time participating in Josh’s fantastic magic trick involving a delicate white dandelion and a jug of water. Their faces lit up with amazement as they watched the flower being placed into the water dry and then come out dry again, a truly mind-blowing experience for them!

As they observed, many curious questions bubbled up, and we dove into discussions exploring the why and how behind the trick. Each child had the chance to try it themselves, feeling like real-life magicians in the process.

Last week, our preschoolers participated in mental health week, embracing some lovely quiet time. They enjoyed calming lights and soothing music, which helped them relax and find peace. It was a wonderful experience, and we also chatted about different ways to feel better and support our well-being. We all had a great time together!
