✨ This Week in Our Mandarin Adventure… We Traveled 3,000 Years Back in Time! ✨
Today, in our Chinese Mandarin lesson, we explored the fascinating origins of Chinese writing — 甲骨文 (jiǎ gǔ wén), the earliest known form of Chinese script. Learners were amazed to see how characters looked 3,000 years ago and how they evolved into the modern forms we use today.
We compared ancient and modern characters side by side, and guess what?
The whole class agreed — the ancient scripts are even cooler than the modern ones!
One learner even said that if a time machine existed, they'd go back to ancient China!🚀🕰️
💡 Activities like this help children understand the rich culture behind the language and make learning Mandarin meaningful, memorable, and fun.

Today we explored different elephant paintings to practise the five senses 👂👀👃👄✋
And we made our sentences more fun with adjectives:
✨ 大大的耳朵 (dà dà de ěrduo / big ears)
✨ 小小的眼睛 (xiǎo xiǎo de yǎnjing / small eyes)
✨ 长长的鼻子 (cháng cháng de bízi / long trunk)
