We recently celebrated the graduation from our Reset Together programme in Huddersfield! πŸ‘

This 12-week programme focused on confidence, independence, wellbeing and employability skills, helping young people work towards work, training, or further education.

Our approach is always trauma-informed and therapeutic, creating a supportive and inclusive environment that breaks down barriers and helps young people thrive.

We are so proud of what these young people achieved on the programme, and we can’t wait to see what they get up to in the future! πŸ’š

James' Story! πŸ‘·β€β™‚οΈ

When James came to our Youth Hub, he was feeling uncertain about the future after being made redundant in his role as a Chef.

James joined our trailblazer programme, where we began to identify barriers, discuss his challenges and work on real-world skills for the future.

Whilst on the programme, he took advantage of our partner network:

✍️ Friends of STEC - He signed up to tackle his driving theory.

🀝 Inside Connections - He attended their open day, met guest speakers, and felt the spark of motivation return.

πŸŽ‰ The Construction Skills Certificate Scheme Card - James committed to the course, and we are thrilled to announce he passed!

We are so proud that James has now secured a paid full-time work placement in construction with GK Construction & Property Management!

From day one, James has shown total dedication, showing up on time, every time, with a motivation that has completely transformed his outlook πŸ’ͺ

Our young people took part in work experience at Croxteth Park Farm, over three days they worked really hard, feeding lots of animals, cleaning out pens, mending fences and even carrying out wellness checks! 🐎🐐

Some of our students want to work in animal care and for others, this was a great way to explore different sectors and career choices! 🐰

We recently took part in a β€˜Screen-Free Week’ in Liverpool, encouraging our young people to turn off their phones and get outdoors! πŸš«πŸ“±

During the week, our students worked together to create bottle rockets and went to the local park to set them off πŸš€

Being Screen-Free even just for a short period of time creates great habits in young people, encouraging getting out into nature and can help to improve overall wellbeing ☺️

To end our Mental Health Awareness Week, we spoke to two of our year 10 students about their journeys with mainstream education, how that impacted their mental health, and how it’s improved since coming to ES! πŸ’š

13/05/2026

For Mental Health Awareness Week, we sat down with some of our students to have a chat about what they do when they’re feeling down.

There’s lots of different ways we support our mental health, including getting outside, and talking to friends or family.

Whatever you do, you don’t have to suffer alone πŸ’š
