✝️ Pupils received the Sacrament of Confirmation at the Cathedral during a special Mass celebrated by Archbishop John Sherrington.
It was a proud and prayerful occasion for our pupils, their families and the wider College community, marking an important step in their journey of faith. We are incredibly proud of all of our pupils for the commitment they have shown throughout their preparation for Confirmation.

✍️ As our Year 11 and Year 13 pupils begin their examinations, we keep them in our thoughts and prayers during this important time.
Over the past months, they have shown great commitment, resilience and determination in preparing for this moment. Now is the time to approach each exam with confidence, courage and belief in their own abilities.
We reminded pupils this week of the simple message from our faith: “Be not afraid.” They do not face these challenges alone. Through every revision session, every moment of pressure and every step into the exam hall, God walks beside them.
Good luck Year 11 and 13s, we've got your back!

🤝 Year 10 pupil Daniel D recently travelled to Birmingham to volunteer with Birmingham Universities CathSoc and Hand In Hand, supporting homeless people across the city centre.
The day began with Mass before volunteers prepared food and toiletry parcels, later spending time speaking with and supporting members of the homeless community.
During the visit, Daniel also met former choristers and OEs, Peter and Liam O’Donnell, who shared how their experiences at St Edward’s and within the choir helped shape their careers and future pathways. Peter now works as a solicitor specialising in Shipping Law, while Liam holds a Doctorate in Theology from Oxford.
A wonderful example of faith in action, service and the lasting strength of the St Edward’s community.

🎨 We are proud to celebrate the work of our talented Art teacher, Mr Brogan , who recently held a two-day solo exhibition at the Bridewell Studios and Gallery.
The exhibition, Happening, welcomed visitors across the weekend and showcased a fantastic collection of work in the heart of Liverpool’s creative community.

✝️ Pupils who are preparing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation next week had a great day discussing the importance of this sacrament, as well as questions about their faith.
We were privileged to welcome two Old Edwardians, Fr Thomas Clarke, a priest of the Archdiocese of Liverpool, and Seminarian Paul Pimblett, currently undergoing formation for the priesthood. The pupils especially enjoyed asking Fr Thomas and Paul questions to learn more about their roles and about the Catholic faith.
Pupils also valued the opportunity to speak with a number of our Sixth Formers about young people in the Church and the importance of faith in their lives.
A big thank you to all involved and to the staff who supported so generously! 🙏

🎓 Last Friday marked Leavers’ Day with our incredible Year 13 students.
The day began with a Mass, followed by Cup Award presentations recognising those who have gone above and beyond in extra-curricular activities. There were plenty of smiles as students looked back on their journey, including some memorable Year 7 photos.
A morning filled with reflection, laughter and pride. We wish you all the very best as you approach your exams.
