We are an Independent Specialist College providing educational SEND programmes in Merseyside.

SITESKILLS PROGRAMME :-The Construction Skills Certificate Scheme (CSCS Card) is your passport to working in the construction industry. A CSCS Card is required for working in construction and many other industries also recognise it as a pre-entry requirement to work. Our Site Skills programme will equip you with the skills you need to obtain your CSCS card, plus we’ll also pay for it. MERSEYSIDE A

MBASSADORS PROGRAMME :- The Visitor Economy in Merseyside is booming, and growth figures suggest a significant and continual growth to 2025 and beyond. Employers within the sector have a significant demand for employees and this demand will continue over the coming years. The Merseyside Ambassadors (MA) scheme is a training programme to develop your skills so that you can be welcomed as a valuable employee to any of the many organisations that are in the Visitor Economy. The programme is based in Liverpool, but it serves the whole of the Merseyside region. Our campus can be found at Lombard Chambers, a lovely airy building, located in the Old Corn Exchange part of the city, right next to the financial heart. It’s served by buses, trains and the Metro all within a 5 minute walk.

✨ New spaces at Southport!

Our Southport staff have been busy behind the scenes preparing some lovely new spaces for students to enjoy this week!

☕ The Bistro is now ready for students to sit, enjoy their lunch and have a chat with friends and other students they might not usually see in class.

🎱 The Games Room is back! Staff have been busy rebuilding the pool table, organising board games and jigsaws, and setting up the dartboard. The room will be used for breaktimes and health & wellbeing sessions, giving students a fun space to relax and unwind.

🛋️ The new Break Room is a cosy space where students can sit and chat, or simply have a little quiet time away from the busier areas of college.

And there’s more to come! Next week, students will be getting creative and making their own personalised canvases featuring their names to help make these spaces feel even more like their own.

It’s all about creating spaces where our students can feel comfortable, connected and at home 💚

🌿 Starting the new academic year with positivity at our Bootle Centre!

This week, our new and returning students have been thinking about what they’re grateful for and adding their thoughts to our Positivitree 🌳

It’s such a lovely way to begin a new academic year, encouraging students to pause, reflect on the things that make them feel happy and valued, and share a little positivity with others.

For our new students, it’s also a simple and gentle way to get involved, feel part of the centre and start building those connections with others. And for returning students, it’s a chance to reflect on what matters to them as they begin another year.

Sometimes, it’s the little things that can make the biggest difference 💚

🤖🕺 Robbie definitely stole the show at our recent event!

Our SWRAC robot was a huge hit over the bank holiday weekend, attracting plenty of attention, making people smile and helping to make the Southport Airshow event even more memorable.

And of course… Robbie couldn’t resist showing off his moves with a little Michael Jackson dance performance! 😂

We think it’s safe to say Robbie was one of the weekend’s biggest stars! ⭐️

September is here and we’re ready to welcome our new and returning students for what promises to be an incredible year at SWRAC!✨

There’s so much to look forward to, with renovations and improvements across our centres, creating fantastic new spaces for our students to learn, grow and thrive.

👋 We’re also delighted to welcome new members of staff to the SWRAC family, alongside our amazing existing team. Our dedicated and supportive staff will be there every step of the way encouraging, motivating and helping our students to overcome barriers, build confidence and achieve their goals.

🎓 For our new students, September marks the beginning of an exciting new journey. For those returning, we can’t wait to see how much you’ve grown and what you’ll achieve next!

Our Bootle team have been busy during Flexi Week, creating some brand-new wall displays ready for the return of our current students and the arrival of our new students in September! 💚

It’s been a great opportunity to give the centre a little refresh and create bright, welcoming spaces for everyone to enjoy.

We can’t wait to see our students’ reactions when they return, September, we’re ready for you!

✨ A little refresh at our Widnes Centre! ✨

There have been a few exciting changes happening at our Widnes Centre during Flexi Week!

Our staff office has had a little makeover, creating more space for our SENCO, Engagement Team, Careers Advisor and Centre Manager, as well as a brand-new cosy corner for staff to relax and recharge ☕️

Meanwhile, Shannon has moved into her new Prepare for Work classroom and has been busy getting everything ready for her new students arriving in September.

Flexi Week is the perfect opportunity for our centres to have a refresh, make improvements and get everything ready for the new academic year, and our Widnes team have certainly been busy!

Our Bootle Prepare for Life students enjoyed a trip into Southport as part of their end-of-year celebration week! 🎉

We love getting out and about, especially when the sun is shining! ☀️ The trip was a great opportunity for our students to spend time together, socialise and enjoy being out in the local community.

Getting out into the community is also a brilliant way for our students to build confidence, independence and valuable everyday life skills.

A perfect way to celebrate everything they’ve achieved this year.

Our Southport staff have been busy preparing our brand-new downstairs kitchen ready for the return of our students in September! 🎉

The kitchen will be a fantastic space for our students to develop practical life skills, where they’ll be able to cook simple meals, bake delicious treats and, of course, enjoy a hot drink… or two! ☕️

There are just a few finishing touches and accessories still to add, and then it’ll be ready for our students to get stuck in!

Our students have been so enthusiastic about seeing their new kitchen and have been incredibly patient while the work has been taking place. We know they’re going to love having this new space to learn, create and enjoy together.

We can’t wait to welcome everyone back in September and see the kitchen come to life!
