Meet Michele.

For more than 30 years, Michele has worked in education, helping people develop their skills, recognise their potential and build better futures.

Her connection to Liverpool goes back generations. Her grandmother was born on Tagus Street in L8 and attended the same school where Michele now works as a manager with Liverpool Adult Learning Service.

This Black History Month, we celebrate Michele as one of our everyday heroes and recognise her commitment to education, opportunity and community.

If anyone in your business drives to a job, a meeting, a delivery or a site visit – in a company vehicle or their own car – you have a legal duty to manage that risk. Around a third of road traffic collisions involve someone who was driving for work.

🌿 Building Connections at Karonga Gardens 🌿

Today, Yvette and Gary from our Connect to Work team were delighted to attend the opening of Karonga Gardens with the Lord Mayor of Liverpool, engaging with local residents, businesses, and volunteers to raise awareness of the support available to help people move closer to employment and achieve their career goals.

It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with the community, share information about the Connect to Work programme, and distribute leaflets to those interested in learning more about the support we offer.

We also had the pleasure of speaking with a Community Police Officer who works with young people aged 18+, and she was keen to take our information to help signpost individuals who may benefit from our service. In addition, we connected with representatives from Cobalt Housing, helping to strengthen local partnerships and expand awareness of the opportunities available through Connect to Work.

Working together with community organisations is key to ensuring more people can access the right support, guidance, and pathways into sustainable employment.
