Our mission is to be a catalyst for positive social and environmental change.

We offer engaging workshops, events and training on global issues and global learning methods. We work primarily in schools with young people and teachers to educate about and challenge global and social injustice, using approaches in understanding global issues from around the world. Our working practice is non-judgemental, and about helping people to think about their lives in relation to their communities and the wider environment

TEESNet 2026 - SAVE THE DATE! 27/04/2026

We are thrilled to announce the 15th Teacher Education for Equity & Sustainability Network (TEESNet) conference - Tuesday 1st December 2026 at Liverpool Hope University!

TEESNet is a UK wide community of practice, sharing research and action, and contributing to new understanding across the sector in the UK and beyond.

Our community is made of over 1,000 UK practitioners - university and school based teacher educators, teachers, NGOs, Development Education Centres, the Higher Education Academy (HEA) and University Council for the Education of Teachers (UCET).

We look forward to connecting - or re-connecting - for our biennial exchange of ideas and knowledge.

Watch this space for the Call for Contributions in the coming weeks!

On International Women’s Day we celebrate the achievements of women everywhere. It was first held in 1911 and continues to lobby for accelerated gender parity - women do two thirds of the world's working hours, but earn only 10% of the world's income. Only 3 countries have governments that are not male dominated: Rwanda, Cuba, and Bolivia. An ideal opportunity for discussion in schools and workplaces!
Our colleagues at the Development Education Centre South Yorkshire - DECSY have produced and coordinated several gender equality projects, including the Gender action: Gender Equity in Schools project https://www.decsy.org.uk/project/gender-action/

Look out for the FT logo and show your support in a very practical way!
