Yesterday’s Learning and Teaching Awards Presentation (Thursday 27 November) was a wonderful celebration of the incredible work happening across the University of Liverpool to enhance students’ learning experiences. Held in the festive surroundings of the Victoria Gallery and Museum, colleagues from across all faculties were recognised for their innovation, dedication, and impact on student learning.

A huge congratulations to all 2025 award recipients, including winners of the Learning, Teaching & Student Experience Awards, the Sir Alastair Pilkington Awards, Learning & Teaching Fellowships, and this year’s National Teaching Fellows from Advance HE.

Particular congratulations to our own colleagues Sharon Connor and Stephen Kearns, who were present to receive a Faculty Learning & Teaching and Student Experience Award on behalf of Go Higher and the Humanities & Social Sciences Student Experience Team. This award recognises the team’s outstanding work on the Mature Students' Breakfast scheme to support our students and continually improve the Go Higher experience.

We’re incredibly proud of Sharon, Stephen, and the whole Go Higher/HSS Student Experience Team for this well-deserved recognition.

👏 Huge congratulations to all colleagues honoured this year — and thank you for everything you do for our students.
