Happy 86th birthday to Denie! ✨
The backbone of Constance Moss, the matriarch, the one who says it as it is, who has given decades of dedication to countless CMSOD girls and - above all - who never gives up or lets any fall or stroke beat her. From all of the parents & girls, Stephanie & Chloe, we wish you a lovely birthday and send you lots of love ♥️

Our newest members of the gang 🥺♥️🖤
They have been brilliant in settling into their new class and routine together - and their other two little friends! - and are now managing to get through a full class without parents (but with a little bit of help from three special big sisters!) ✨
So magical to see them learning their steps and finding their voices already. We still have spaces available from age 2+ for any family, family friends, siblings or school families you know who may like to join us from 9:15-10:00 on Saturdays ♥️🖤

From Saturday 2nd May (next week), we are excited to be moving some of our groups up into new classes and creating the space to welcome new joiners in all classes ❤️
If you have family members, friends, school friends, etc. who would like to join us, now is the perfect time, and we are now welcoming girls in Class 1 from the age of 2. You’ll see class times for each age group in the post - please note that these class times will then remain until next summer, so girls will not move up again in September ✨
If you have any questions, please reach out to us via the details in this post. We look forward to settling girls into their new classes next week 😍

We are so proud of every single one of our girls today ♥️
Every girl there with immaculate hair and uniform, big smiles and raring to go. You sung and danced your hearts out, were so well behaved, polite and positive - it was a pleasure to see you all so proud of yourselves, excited rather than nervous to show the examiner how amazing you all are, and to hear the lovely comments from the examiner at the end of the day about what lovely girls we have at CMSOD. ♥️
Thank you, parents, for all you’ve done the past few weeks in practicing with the girls & getting them ready for today. We are so lucky to have such lovely families and the energy and love in the room from parents when the girls came out of their exams was so lovely to see. 🥺
Thank you also to Elaine - we couldn’t do it without you - playing the piano for all of our entries with only the occasional break and always with a smile on her face to reassure the girls with a familiar face in the room. To the students and Debbie too for getting the girls numbered, line up and practicing. We’re so grateful for you all. ♥️
We didn’t manage to get photos of all the girls, but here are some of our amazing morning. It will be a few weeks until we get anything back from ADA but regardless of marks, we are SO proud of you all. ✨
Lots of dancing love

Run by women, for young women and girls, it’s only right that we celebrate International Women’s Day! 💜 CMSOD was opened in 1934 by the well-loved and well-known Constance Moss, and her daughter Denie, granddaughter Stephanie and great-granddaughter Chloe are still continuing that legacy today, over 90 years later!
What makes our school special is the respect, love and friendliness the girls have towards eachother, the students, and to Denie & Stephanie. Be it groups of girls who’ve been through CMSOD together since they were 2, or new girls being taken under the wing of others, there’s a place for every girl here. We’re not pretentious show-girls. We do something we enjoy with our friends for an hour every Saturday, and manage to put on fabulous showcases and work towards our medal examinations along the way.
We don’t necessarily produce theatre school, dancing career-driven girls - many of our girls could definitely go onto that if they wanted - but instead girls who have developed an extra dimension to their personalities: commitment, manners, confidence & new skills to make them into the amazing girls they are! Our CMSOD alumni have gone on to be very successful, and we’re very proud of all of our girls for what they achieve.
If you’re reading this as a prospective parent or pupil, please don’t hesitate to contact us about joining our school! Message our Facebook & Instagram pages () or drop us an email on [email protected] ...and join our special CMSOD family!
Thank you parents for your support for the girls - not forgetting the dancing dads on IWD, we couldn’t do it without you and your (often) early mornings too! We hope you’re all very proud to be CMSOD girls and families. You’re part of thousands of girls who can say that too, and we’re proud of each and every one of you.
Lots of dancing love on International Women’s Day 2026 💟
