Edukate is a private tutoring business based in Crosby, Liverpool, run by myself, an experienced tutor and First class graduate in Education Studies. I have tutored primary aged children for the past 7 years supporting children of all ages and abilities to achieve their full potential. It was from this experience that my passion for tutoring grew, as I began to see the impact just a small amount o

f tuition can have on a child’s confidence, ability and approach to learning. I wanted to create a tutoring business which focuses on the long-term wellbeing of its students, creating a positive environment in which all learning is appreciated and supported.

School Readiness: What Does It Really Mean?💚📚

School readiness isn’t about making sure your child can already read, write or do sums before they start school.✏️🏫

The skills that really help children feel confident and ready are things like:

Independence- putting on their coat, managing their belongings and having a go before asking for help
Communication- expressing what they need and asking for help
Emotional regulation- recognising big feelings and learning how to manage them
Social skills- sharing, taking turns and joining in with others
Confidence & resilience- trying new things and knowing it’s okay when things don’t go perfectly
Everyday routines- toileting, handwashing, opening lunchboxes and looking after their own things

Don’t worry about teaching them to read before they get there. Their teachers will support them with that.

Giving children the confidence to say “I can have a go!” is one of the best ways we can prepare them for school🌟

Watching confidence grow is what it’s all about!💡✨

Mya has a vivid imagination and always has fantastic ideas to share! However, she doesn’t enjoy writing and finds spelling challenging, which makes it difficult to get her ideas on paper.
We tried something different and it has been a favourite of hers each week since. Mya types a descriptive piece and then we use AI to generate an image based on her writing.
Watching her words come to life has been incredibly motivating! It has encouraged her to add even more detail, expand her vocabulary, improve spelling and see the value in her creative ideas. So proud of her! ☀️🌙✨🌑

Same learning theme, tailored for every learner💷🍦

Our KS1 and KS2 students each enjoyed their own ice cream shop session, with activities carefully adapted to suit their age and stage of learning.

They explored money by making amounts, calculating totals, and working out change, while developing their English skills by creating and writing their own menus. A fun, hands-on way to build confidence in maths and literacy through real life learning.

One idea, two personalised sessions, and lots of learning along the way! 💰📝
