The Lone Wolf Lie (+ more)👇
Surface level change never lasts
If you really want to change for good, you have to get to the ROOTS
Most of the time we tell ourselves stories that are half true
Or even completely untrue
And as long as we allow those narratives to go on in our minds unchecked
They manifest into patterns of pain and suffering
Take for example, The Lone Wolf
The one that says “people don’t understand me”
Who says “I’m an outsider”
Most of the time the real story is something that sounds more like “relationships are so painful and stressful that I would rather not deal with the consequences of human Connection”
Now every story we tell ourselves has a benefit and a function that serves some positive purpose
But like Allah says in the Quran — “ the harm outweighs the good” — [2:219]
Yes, this verse is about gambling and intoxication, but it can also apply to coping strategies that are completely halal
The avoidance of human Connection does provide an element of simplicity in one’s life
But it also sacrifices some of the most beautiful things life has to offer
And eventually, the loneliness and isolation lead to addiction, escapism, uneven more suffering than that which was experienced in relationship
The avoidance of pain ultimately leads to even greater pain
And that is why the truth matters
And the example of the Lone Wolf — it might seem righteous or cool from the outside
But most often it is just the avoidance of pain
Not to say chapters of solitude aren’t important
There is a season for everything
But when it becomes an identity, this is where things start to turn putrid
I say this as I notice my nafs telling me to F everyone and run away
All the while, I know this is being generated by pain, grief and disappointment
And if I allow that pain to lead me, I know it won’t end well
For actions are but by intentions
Comment “WOLF” if you want to hear how I went from addicted, depressed and lonely — to running a successful life coaching business, transforming lives every day

A secret 👇
You think grief and pain are bad
But in fact, they are but gifts from Allah
Opportunities to draw nearer to Him
A way through which faith is deepened and the soul is freed
From attachment to this world and what it contains
Buddhism says attachment is the root to all suffering
In Islam we say La Ilaha Il-Allah — there is no god but God
This is the same essential statement made from two different angles
Attachments are false gods that live within the heart
They rule over the heart, causing suffering and a bending of the authentic, true self
When you’re attached to an individual you swallow the truth for fear of losing approval
When you’re attached to an object you abandon what is right to keep what you have
Falling slave to creation, rather than Creator
In this, suffering is inevitable
For freedom lies only in La Ilaha Il-Allah
Worship and obedience to the only one worthy of worship
Grief is an undeniable aspect of the path to liberation
Let your heart break
So the idols can be drawn out
So that the light of Allah only remains
This is the ideal
A process of a lifetime
One heart break at a time
One attachment let go at a time
And how do you know which idols have found their way into your heart?
Pay attention

For what do you delay your prayer?
Of whom or what do you think of during Salah?
For whom do you bend your compass of morality?
These are key indicators
I just released a full video detailing my story of addiction and grief, to helping others find peace
I am honoured to do the work that I do
Sometimes I feel unworthy of it
For who am I but a traveller, also finding his way?

Let me explain 👇
Learning to rest is a skill
Not just resting the body, but resting the mind
Sitting or laying down while scrolling social media IS NOT REST
Constantly saying words of remembrance (Dhikr) can also not necessarily be TRUE REST
What I’m talking about here is ABSOLUTE ZERO
No planning
No plotting
No doing (inwardly or outwardly)
Just pure regenerative stillness
Our minds are so used to juggling objectives
Over time we find it impossible to PUT THE MIND DOWN
This is where the body serves as a key
Your body is always present
It isn’t in the future or the past like your mind
It is here. In this present moment
The present moment is where rest happens
It isn’t attained through thought, but rather through ATTENTION
When you place attention on each part of your body, stored tension naturally softens
Your jaw
Your neck
Your shoulders
Your brow
Notice this NOW
No matter how long your list of tasks
No matter how many you get done
The mind is still rarely satisfied, if ever
Satisfaction will never come if attached to a future outcome
The goal post will continue to recede
Here and now is where satisfaction hides
With presence and connection to Allah
When you try to stop your mind will RESIST
This resistance is the beginning of Inner JIHAD
The “war” for peace within
 not without
Without inner peace there can be no outer peace
Not in your marriage
Your home
Your business
Your community
It has to come from within first
And that peace only arises when the courageous choice is made
To let the mind be agitated
To breathe deep into your depths
To draw attention to the body
And to surrender all future and past concerns to Allah
This is something I used to find impossible
However the last 12 years have been a journey of great insight
I just released a video on YouTube sharing the story of how I became Usman Ali | Addiction Specialist
The journey through spiritual discovery, addiction, chronic illness and return to Allah

Willpower ❌ Awareness ✅
If you don’t know your opponent, how can you win?
Or if you mistake your opponent for one when in reality is it another, you’re sure to lose
The issues beneath addiction are many
 here are SOME of them
There is no ONE FIX
In order to beat addiction TRULY, you need a total REBIRTH
Why?
Because your whole life is involved in this
The social circle needs an update
Your thinking patterns need an update
Your story needs an update!
All parts are connected
And they converge to ONE
That is
 ALLAH (God)
Devotion to God is the centre of this change
Without Him, we have nothing
Without Him, we ARE nothing
Never mind changing your deeply engrained behaviour patterns

You can’t even take a single breath without His permission
If you’d like to add anything I missed, feel free to add it in the caption

A reminder (here) 👇
Grief and loss seem to be in the air
A lot of changes are taking place for many of us
With that comes letting go
Perhaps of things most beloved to us
I’m learning that grief is truly one of the hardest things to go through
And that I don’t think I’ve ever truly grieved like this before
Now this isn’t a sob story

In fact, as difficult as it has been, it’s also been INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL
How? Why?
Let me try and put it into words
When the heart is broken, who else is there to turn to but God?
Is He not the only one who TRULY understands our inner world?
He sends the right people to support during difficult times
But most of all, He is there for us in every moment
When the heart breaks, the light of Allah both enters and emerges from those cracks
It feels like a softening of the heart
A slowing down
A consolation of worries
Permission to rest
And a deeply reflective period
All of this and more bring the experience of deep peace
For “Indeed, in the remembrance of God do hearts find comfort” - Qur’an [13:28]
Have you ever said goodbye to someone you love more than anything in the world?
It’s excruciatingly painful
However.. if we choose to sit with that pain and feel it fully, not escaping through work, constant business, or numbing agents, we reach the other side
It comes in waves, but what’s beautiful is the softening that takes place
The utter reliance on God and sincere call for his aid
Nothing in my life has hurt this much
And nothing in my life has humbled me like this
That humbling does not lead to a sense of despair
Rather, a felt experience of Allah’s Mercy and proximity
He is with you
He sees you
Do not run
For this pain is a means of transformation
All ends are but beginnings. All beginnings are but beginnings to an end.
God bless

I’m being humbled 👇
And it’s totally okay
In fact, I’d even say it’s beautiful
Let this be a reminder
One moment your life can look a certain way
A couple weeks or months later, it can be flipped upside down
If you fight the process, it only worsens the suffering
If you can let go (by Allah’s guidance), it’s actually super interesting
I am being reset
And right now, I feel a deep trust
The old me would be an anxious right now
Trying to move through this as quickly as possible
But Alhamdulillah, I want to savour this time
The night of the Soul
The thinning of veils
The softening of the heart
The humbling of the ego
I am resting
Deeply, and unapologetically
Alhamdulillah that I can afford to do so
To all of my clients, may Allah bless you
For those interesting in working with me, you can still reach out and inquire — however I can’t promise anything
La ilaha il-Allah

Right here 👇
👉DM “UNCHAINED” if you’re ready to channel your addictive personality from self-sabotage to self-mastery
HERE’S THE 7 UNFAIR ADVANTAGES
1. Rapid learning capacity — you don’t just dip your toe into the water. You dive right in an absorb incredible amounts of information with a short time
When channel correctly, this is applied to useful and beneficial knowledge, not entertainment or brain rot
2. You can’t sell your Soul — most people can slave away in a job they hate just because it pays the bills. The addictive personality can only focus and concentrate on that which is truly meaningful.
When channel correctly, you do incredible things for Work and feel a deep sense of purpose and meaning in life
3. Abnormal attention to detail — most people can’t handle the workload you can.
When channelled correctly this becomes hyper productivity, when you apply it to your lifestyle and not just Work, it becomes excellence in all fields
4. Jack of all trades — you have many passions and interests and have invested countless hours in multiple directions
When channel correctly, you become the polymath
a master in multiple fields, not just one
5. Spiritual inclination — you chase higher states of consciousness. Perhaps through drugs, alcohol and other escapes
When channel correctly, you become spiritually proficient, with a stronger Connection to God than the vast major majority. This isn’t about knowledge, it’s pure Connection
6. Passionate relationship — you’re not satisfied with settling for the minimum
When channel correctly, you commit to your marriage partner and have an incredible, adventurous, and colourful journey together. Everyone argues sometimes, Bust most days are a joy
7. Quality of life — when you channel your addictive personality your life will be better than any movie you ever saw. I truly lived life. In sha’Allah
