Just as a little add on for my earlier post... there is plenty of space in the pool / food if anyone would like to come who hasn’t been for a while, don’t worry about asking to come along! Would love to see as many lovely people as possible!

Afternoon all,

Tomorrow is our annual Christmas party, this year it is being held at Liverpool aquatics centre Wavertree.
Children under 9 have to be accompanied in the water by an adult ( although we usually recommend that one adult goes in the water with the children per family ).
We can swim from 1-2ish when the children get out of the pool and get ready for some food in the party room.
We will provide party food and drinks which will be sandwiches, crisps sweets etc... we will be leaving at 3.

I would recommend arriving at 12.45 ish to ensure that we get the longest time possible in the pool.

Afternoon all... me being my ridiculous self has just realised that I made a plan and then didn’t tell everyone that it was a plan 😱
Next week is our Christmas party and then the week after, the 15th will be our last session at I M Marsh! We would love for as many people as possible to come along for a final bounce.
The sessions will be normal times and all leapers and bounders from over the years are invited to come along for a last bounce.
I am so so sorry that I had not communicated this to everyone and hope you are all not too upset with me and my ever worsening baby brain! 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱

Afternoon all,

It is with great sadness that I have to announce that after nine wonderful years, leaps and bounds will close at Christmas. This is due to many factors and unfortunately we are unable to carry on providing the same level of service we have always prided ourselves on for our wonderful children and their families.

Every child who has come through our doors has changed and shaped my life and my career, adding to knowledge and understanding which I hope has provided support for those who have needed it.

I must take the chance to thank those who have committed their weekends to working with us right from the start... Cara, Lucy, Gemma, Rachel, Chrissy, Jen, Jodie, Hannah and of course my wonderful husband Chris! Like me, almost all of these coaches had little experience of working in SEN and now as a result some have gone on to seek careers working with children, young people and adults with a range of disabilities and impairments.

Also thanks to all of the volunteers we have had over the years, Brandon and Sam and Emily, your time has meant so much. Momma Jean and Phil whose tuck shop has paid for all of our parties over the year we all thank you so much! Andrew and Sue, your help has been invaluable.

Julie Simpson and Jane Hesketh you started it all, if it weren’t for you and your wonderful sons my career would have taken a very different path. Thanks to you both, we have been able to help hundreds of families.

Today is our halloween party from 1-3, dressing up is encouraged ( but as always optional ) please bring along a food or drink donation. Looking forward to seeing you all, guest visit arranged from momma jean, Phil and baby Leo too 😊
