Bee Smart with Money returns! 🐝💡

Our latest visit as part of the Manchester Credit Union x Altru Drama Bee Smart with Money day was to Crumpsall Lane Primary School.

Young learners brought financial habits to life through drama and storytelling.

Financial education in schools isn’t just a nice-to-have, it’s now a national priority. According to the final report of the Curriculum and Assessment Review, the time has come to embed money-skills from primary upwards (for example, recognising that all children benefit from understanding saving, spending and budgeting).

At Manchester Credit Union we believe our schools programme gives children a real jump-start:
* They rehearse and perform, turning familiar fairy-tales into money-wise lessons.
* They develop confidence, speak up, collaborate – not just “doing money”, but exploring what money means.
* And they join a larger national movement of financial empowerment: when policy and practice align, young people win.

Go down to the woods this half term… you’re in for a magical surprise! 🌲🎭

Half term is nearly here, and Croxteth Hall is getting ready to welcome families for a special retelling of Little Red Riding Hood, performed by the brilliant Altru Drama team.

Expect original music, storytelling, and plenty of giggles in this 45-minute show packed with audience participation.

In the second week of Easter we are running a drama and dance camp in Huyton. We have places available for children on Free School Meals (through the codes provided by school) and paid places too via eventbrite (search Altru Drama)

Calling all Male Identifying Actors/ Actor Musicians! Altru Drama CIC are now casting for talented, versatile actors for our Anti Bullying show ‘Time to be Different’ & our Classic tale ‘The Emperor’s New Clothes’.
