Hate crime affects individuals, families, and entire communities. It can leave people feeling unsafe, isolated, and fearful, but raising awareness helps ensure that no one faces hate alone.

By speaking out, sharing accurate information, and encouraging others to report incidents, we can help
Build safer communities, Increase reporting and accountability, Empower people to seek help and challenge prejudice and misinformation In a time where hate is being used to divide and radicalise.

If you’re in immediate danger, always call 999.
Otherwise, you can report non-emergency incidents by calling 101, visiting a local police station, or reporting online at:

LJMU are taking part in International Romani Day!

We have five days of activities this week to celebrate!

However we must also recognise the trauma experienced by this community.

We would like to share awareness and respect for Paul Polansky who revealed the Lety Concentration Camp, which was managed by Czech authorities in World War II.

Many Roma were interned and died in the camp. Researchers estimate that between 800k to 1.5m Roma and Sinti were murdered during World War II.

By coming together, we hope to provide support for this community

Fantastic GTRSB Event earlier! LJMU is taking steps to make higher education more inclusive to people from Gypsy, Traveller, Roma, Showmen and Boater communities

It is so important to welcome everybody into education and open up opportunities for learning 🎓📚

Our own PHD Student, Sheldon Chadwick, has created a display for his research around mental health in the Fairground Showmen community. It will be here until Friday in the SLB

As a university, we have taken the GTRSB pledge and are asking our students to help us in our goal to be more accessible and supportive!

What can we do as individuals to make a difference?
