Liverpool Language Lab How do children learn language? Find out with us! https://www.language05.co.uk/take-part The Child Language Lab is based at the University of Liverpool.

It is linked with the International Centre for Language and Communicative Development (LuCiD) - an ESRC-funded Centre that is a collaboration between the Universities of Liverpool, Manchester and Lancaster, as well as institutions abroad. Researchers working here are interested in a number of topics related to language development, ranging from the early gestures babies are making before they know

any words to how children master complex sentence structures. We design fun and interesting games for the children to play with us when they visit and all our researchers are great at making the children feel at ease. Outside of the University we have an active role in telling us about the work we are doing and supporting practitioners that are working to help children whose language learning journey has challenges.
