Time to party 🎊
Eccleston Park Day Nursery
Under new Management
Eccleston Park Day Nursery for children aged 3 months to 5 years
11/04/2020
This is what makes us special
Sadly we are closing the door at eccleston park day nursery today just until we are safe again 😭
However we have opened a closed page - eccleston park day nursery closed group- for you to upload you fun and games in isolation.
Guess what? The Eccleston staff will too. 😁
This will keep us all smiling.
Quick go and find the page 😍
Sadly we have made the decision not to close our doors but to keep them open for those families who really cannot keep their children safe at home and away from the risk of this awful virus.
Most staff have been furloughed which is upsetting for all of us. They are all guaranteed their job at the end of this difficult time but please be sensitive if you see them.
We will allow families to collect any belongings tomorrow until 1pm at which time we are closing for the day.
Thank you for your understanding and all the families who have found alternative childcare and yet still help us beat the virus.

We will have very limited space available to those children who really do not have any other safe childcare so they are protected from the possible spread of this awful virus.
We will be looking at those who have 2 keyworkers and no childcare first.
We may find that the local authority request proof of occupation and hours to justify this.
Please email if you feel you come into this category and days and hours needed.
Thank you

Morning. Firstly can I apologise for not updating last night but in all honesty I was emotionally and physically unable. It has been a very long week.
I am now systematically working through what we will do step by step.
The underlying message is clear. If you can at any cost keep your child at home safe, regardless of if you are or are not a keyworker, this should be the action you take.
I currently feel we probably have the support to say we would charge little or no fees to those families who do not bring their children in.
I will be working throughout the day on matters and should have a clear picture. If staff choose to self isolate for any reason and we are unable to meet ratios we will shut.
I have all the children's best interests at heart and promise to do the best I can.
Thank you again for your support and patience X x
Can all families send a quick email with both parents job titles so we can create a better picture of who may be keyworkers. We ask that you email or message rather than phone as the phone line is extremely busy.
Thank you for all your patience and understanding at this chaotic time. X x
We have now emailed all families to tell you we have a page. If you did not receive this email please check your details are correct so we can keep in touch. Thank you
The government have released information on keyworker. But the first point they make is quite clear. If children can stay at home then they should. More clarification will come today and we are open today but it is looking increasingly like we will be shut next week. I will keep posting throughout the day. 🙁
Sadly Boris did not give us the clear answers we hoped for. We are guessing tomorrow will be d-day and they will tell us to close with exception of children who are those of keyworkers. It is not yet known if this will be one keyworker parent or both.
I can only apologise and say watch this space!
We hope to have a much clearer picture after the news conference but no promises.
