Last month, we celebrated the 20th anniversary of Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, while this year also marks 10 years of our Year in China programme. 🇨🇳🌏
Jenika, a member of our very first cohort in 2016, recently returned to XJTLU almost a decade later to reflect on the impact the experience has had on her life and career.
"Choosing to study abroad in China was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The Year in China programme gave me lifelong friendships, unforgettable memories, career opportunities and a completely different perspective on the world."

Amazing news! We’re excited to announce that we’re finalists for ‘Best University Housing’ in the Global Student Living awards (UK & Ireland)! 🎉
This nomination is especially meaningful because it’s based entirely on feedback from our students. Thank you to everyone who completed the Global Student Living surveys and shared their experiences of living in our halls.
Your feedback helps us continue to improve the student experience and shape positive changes for future residents. It’s also helped us earn this fantastic recognition.
The winners will be announced in October 2026, and we’ll be keeping our fingers crossed until then! 🤞
