We recently checked back in with the parents from our Essex Lullaby Intervention. We knew the songs were beautiful, but we were moved to hear how they’ve become a part of the family fabric.

From "kitchen dance parties" to soothing babies during night feeds, these tracks are much more than just music - they are "living memories" that parents will cherish forever.

Back in March, Making Music Together with Live Music Now brought live online concerts and dementia-friendly music workshops into the homes of unpaid carers, creating space for joy, connection and relief in what can be a challenging daily routine.

Each session paired an uplifting performance with simple, practical ways to make music at home, helping carers and loved ones engage, communicate and share meaningful moments together.

94% of participants that gave feedback felt less isolated and experienced improved mood, showing just how powerful music can be in care.

“The session filled a normally stressful hour of the day… it engaged both me and my husband who has Alzheimer’s.”

We’re delighted that three Live Music Now musicians — Thomas Harvey (Singer-Songwriter), Anwen Mai‑Thomas (Harpist) and Kristiina Watt (Lute & Soprano) — will be performing at In Rhythm, a special fundraising concert in support of patient care at Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals.

Taking place at St Luke's Church, Chelsea this Thursday, the evening is presented in partnership with rb&hArts and celebrates the hospital’s specialist arts programme. It showcases the powerful role music plays in bringing calm, connection and hope to patients, families, staff and visitors.

If you’re able to attend, support, or help spread the word, please do. Every ticket helps keep art and music at the heart of patient care. 💙

It’s been two weeks since Chris Avery got on his Brompton and cycled his way across Cornwall. On his eco-conscious tour of the county, he visited special schools in Bodmin, St Austell and St Blazey.

The children sang, danced and suggested songs to play. Some even gave Chris a run for his money and conducted the changes! Here are some photos and quotes from his session at Beacon Academy.

“Chris was extremely patient and showed a great understanding of the children’s needs and how to engage them with the music. The children interacted with Chris, and each other, to discuss songs they wanted to hear. They engaged and concentrated for a sustained period of time, and thoroughly enjoyed the concert.”

The school concerts have been made possible with support from the Clare Milne Trust.
