Why is touch research important?

Research has shown that touch can be important across many areas of life, from newborn development and social connection to emotional wellbeing and healthy ageing.

This is why touch research matters. By studying how touch changes with age, and how these changes are reflected in brain activity, we can better understand the relationship between touch, ageing, wellbeing, and the brain.
