It was such a pleasure and a privilege to have the musician, composer and author Tom Fletcher at LIPA today! ⭐
A founding member of McFly, Tom has written 10 UK number one singles during his career as a songwriter, wrote the music and lyrics for the Olivier Award-winning Paddington: The Musical and is a successful children's author! 👏
Tom toured our facilities, watched a performance from some of our musicians and took part in an hour long Q&A session with our students.
Thank you Tom! ❤️

A passion for helping people fulfil their professional potential inspired MA Music Industry Management student Beck Macey to set up a music industry conference for fellow students. 👏
The two-day event was organised as part of LIPA’s live music festival, 2ube Xtra.
“I really want to help people achieve their career goals, and as the festival features the work of music, production and management students, I wanted to create a conference that looked at areas of early employment in the music industry.” ❤️

A new short film developed by students and graduates from across LIPA is now in production following support from the LIPA Enterprise Grant scheme 🎥
Murmur, a folkloric horror film inspired by Romanian mythology, recently completed filming on location in Romania, bringing together talent from Acting, Filmmaking, Creative Technologies and Music courses 🌟
“The support from the LIPA Enterprise Grant scheme has been crucial in bringing Murmur to life,” the film’s co-creator Horia Bazavan told us, “independent filmmaking is never easy, so this kind of support has been both deeply appreciated and absolutely necessary.”🗣️
You can keep up to date on the film via the .film page on Instagram, and head to our website read our interview with the creator and actors on the making of the film: https://lipa.ac.uk/news/lipa-students-and-graduates-collaborate-on-new-short-film-in-romania/
