Meet the team behind The Rope Immersion!

Here are the wonderful people who help shape our annual Sh***ri day retreat – each bringing their own experience, presence, and unique way of combining rope and connection.

Joining me again as guest teachers are Christian Red and EntwinedStar ✨

Together, we’ll be guiding you through embodied, consent-led rope exploration designed to support both curiosity and depth.

We’re also so lucky to have TiedForThirst Photography returning to capture the day—offering beautiful, intentional documentation of your rope creations should you wish to take something home with you 📸

And, of course, we have our fabulous crew members Bambi and Fennel, who many of you will know from other Pleasure Rebels events and courses.
It’s such an honour to work alongside such talented humans, and I’m excited to share this space with you!

Been wondering if The Rope Immersion is for you? 👀 You’re definitely not alone.

Exploring Sh***ri can feel daunting when you don’t have loads of experience yet – especially if you’re worried everyone else will already know exactly what they’re doing.

That’s exactly why, at Pleasure Rebels, it’s been my mission to create kink-oriented spaces that feel welcoming, comfy, low-pressure, and genuinely supportive of learning. Spaces where you’re allowed to ask questions, make mistakes, experiment, laugh, pause, try again – and most importantly, leave feeling more empowered.

The Rope Immersion is our full-day retreat experience: a whole day together in a gorgeous house and surrounding grounds in the Peak District, exploring rope indoors, outdoors, in pairs, solo, creatively, technically, and playfully.

This space is for those of you who already have some basic experience of tying or being tied. Maybe you’ve completed our Intro to Sh***ri course or workshop already and want to build on that, or have picked up some of the basics elsewhere. You absolutely do not need to arrive knowing exactly what you’re doing and it’s OK if you don’t have a regular rope practice.
It’s a fun, sober, consent-centred day of rope exploration with brilliant teachers, beautiful surroundings, plenty of practice time, and a lovely group of people all figuring things out together.

If you’ve been wanting to deepen your rope journey without the pressure or intimidation… this might be your space! 💜

We’re so excited to be returning to this beautiful space for the third year in a row!

Once again, we’ll be calling the stunning Basford Hurst Cottage our home for the day, nestled at the foot of the Peak District. A private house and grounds that has become the home of The Rope Immersion – chosen again for its calm, privacy, and ability to hold a full day of deep, embodied learning.

From the spacious workshop spaces, to the peaceful outdoor grounds, and the beautiful dining hall, every part of this place supports the natural rhythm of the day.

We’re really grateful to return here!

The Rope Immersion is BACK! 🪢

That’s right, this will be the 3rd year Pleasure Rebels is hosting an extra special, Sh***ri-themed day retreat in a beautiful private location in Leek, Staffordshire.

Across the day there will be workshops and performances from guest teachers Christian Red and EntwinedStar (and the crew), alongside plenty of time to practice, explore the grounds, and get your (rope-related!) questions answered.

Once again we’ll also have the phenomenal joining us, should you wish to have some gorgeous photos of your ropey creations to take away 📸

We’re just a couple of weeks away from the ever-popular Playfighting workshop with Christian Red. But do you know just how beneficial playfighting can be for us as adults? Here are just a few of the main benefits:

• Playfighting can help us to practice self-regulation - a superpower in today’s dysregulated world. By exploring our instinctive responses like competitiveness, tension, dominance, and surrender in a structured context, you get to see how you react in practice whilst being able to moderate intensity
• It can help us to better understand our boundaries and limits in a deeply embodied way, as well as building our attunement to others’ - again, very helpful skills to have for day-to-day life
• It can shift us out of stuckness in our bodies and minds through tapping into more spontaneity and creativity of movement that our bodies might miss out on otherwise

The Playfighting Lab with Christian Red is back! 🥊🔥

Playfighting is a great way to tap into your playful and competitive side and access embodied power - and it’s FUN! In this workshop, we’ll explore how playfighting can help you move, connect, and fully inhabit your body.

We’re back 👀

The next workshop in our Beyond Fundamentals sh***ri series is here! This time we’re looking at tying intersecting patterns whilst integrating elements of body manipulation, rope handling and scenecraft.

We’re not just building pretty patterns - we’re creating a rope scene, one overlap at a time.

And once again of course, we’re very lucky to have sh***ri expert Christian Red leading this class!

Expect technically robust ties delivered with speed, intention, and precision, alongside exploration of level changes, controlled descents, and more contorted positions.

This is aesthetic rope with intensity 😍🪢

Alongside the ties, we’ll be building confidence in how you approach and create a full rope scene.
