Do you know the rules for ‘s’ pronunciation at the end of words? Here they are: Verbs that end with a voiced sound, add /z/.
Verbs that end with a voiceless sound (e.g. k, p,t) add /s/.

Swipe for answers. Many of my students struggle with the pronunciation of words that end in ‘ed’. The rules are: 1. Verbs that end with a voiced sound are pronounced “d”. 2. Verbs that end with a voiceless sound ( e.g. ‘sh’, ‘p’, ‘ch’, ‘k’) are pronounced “t”. 3. Verbs that end with a ‘d’ or ‘t’ are pronounced “id”.
