BABY BEARS SET SAIL ON A SENSORY ADVENTURE! 🌊🚀

Our babies explored this month’s concept of Movement & Travel through a wonderful nautical-themed tuff tray experience. βš“πŸ’™

The children enjoyed investigating the water and seaside-themed resources, engaging their senses while developing important physical skills through play.

✨ Using sponges to absorb and squeeze out water
✨ Developing fine motor skills and hand strength
✨ Splashing, pouring and exploring water through sensory play
✨ Watching boats float and move across the water
✨ Learning about motion and how objects travel on water

The water provided a rich sensory experience, encouraging the children to explore different movements, textures and cause-and-effect relationships. They were fascinated by how the boats floated and travelled across the tray, making meaningful connections to our Movement & Travel concept.

Activities like these support children’s physical development, communication and language skills, understanding of the world and early scientific thinkingβ€”all while having lots of fun! πŸ’›πŸŒˆ

Well done, Baby Bears! We loved watching your curiosity and exploration today. 🐻✨

🐻🌿 POLAR BEARS CONTINUE THEIR MOVEMENT & TRAVEL ADVENTURES 🌿🐻

Our Polar Bears have continued exploring this month’s concept, Movement & Travel, through a variety of exciting hands-on experiences! 🚜✨

Inspired by one of our favourite stories, Tip Tip Dig Dig, the children enjoyed investigating a sensory tuff tray filled with mud, natural materials and construction-themed resources. They loved digging, transporting and exploring the different textures while bringing the story to life through play. 🌱🚧

The children also demonstrated growing independence during snack time by peeling their own fruit. 🍌🍊 This provided a wonderful opportunity to strengthen fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and confidence in self-care routines.

Outside in the garden, the adventures continued as the children:

✨ Climbed and balanced on the balancing beans
✨ Developed coordination, balance and physical confidence
✨ Explored the mud kitchen through imaginative play
✨ Investigated different textures and natural materials
✨ Used their bodies to move, climb, balance and explore

These experiences support children’s physical development, problem-solving skills, independence and understanding of movement through meaningful, hands-on learning opportunities.

We are so proud of our curious little explorers and the confidence they show when trying new challenges! πŸ’›πŸŒˆ

The children loved investigating the different farm animals, vehicles and natural materials, using their hands to scoop, dig, push and explore the sensory textures around them. ✨

Through play, the children were:
🚜 Moving farm vehicles through the tray
πŸ„ Exploring and transporting animals around the farm
🀲 Developing fine motor skills through scooping and grasping
🌾 Enjoying a rich sensory experience with different textures
πŸ—£οΈ Building language through key words such as move, push, drive, transport and farm

🐻🌈 BABY BEARS ON THE MOVE! 🌈🐻

Today, our babies enjoyed a wonderful sensory experience exploring a variety of different balls as part of our June concept, Movement & Travel. βš½οΈπŸ§ΆπŸ€

Through touching, grasping, rolling and investigating the different balls, the children were developing both their fine and gross motor skills while learning about how objects move and interact with the world around them. ✨

We introduced and modelled key vocabulary throughout the activity, including:

πŸ‘ Shake
⚽ Roll
πŸ€ Bounce

By hearing and experiencing these words in context, the children are building their understanding of language while making meaningful connections through play.

Sensory experiences like these support physical development, communication and language skills, curiosity and early scientific thinkingβ€”all while having lots of fun! πŸ’›

Well done, little ones! 😊🐻🌈
