This morning I spoke on Radio Merseyside about some of our choirs at the cathedral: Junior Choir, Gilbert Scott Singers (youth choir) and Liverpool64 (adult choir). Have a listen, please share and do get in touch with us should you or someone you know wish to join. At Liverpool Cathedral we have a musical engagement opportunity for every age!

At the School of Music, our expert tutors teach music theory to children aged 6-18. We work from the basic foundations and up to Grade 5. Our aim is to help students to eventually sit and pass the Grade 5 ABRSM Theory of Music Exam.
Have a read of this testimonial from a parent who's child has been taking our courses: "Our son has taken a couple of Music Theory Courses with the Liverpool Cathedral School of Music and has absolutely loved them. We can see the difference in his confidence and how much the theory courses assist with his piano lessons/ABRSM exams & his singing.
The courses are reasonably priced, very well organised, set at a good pace & taught by expert tutors who are all very friendly & supportive.
We would very much recommend the Music Theory Courses with the Liverpool Cathedral School of Music."

Our live, in-person Festival of Music is returning to the cathedral with two categories for young musicians up to the age of 18. The Festival takes place across June 15th and 16th. Categories are open-instrumental, and so any instrument (including voice) is accepted. Young musicians will perform to a live audience and a panel of professional adjudicators. Prize for 'best in class'. Please pass on this poster with anyone you might be interested. The deadline for entry is 8th May. Email [email protected]
