📚✨ INSET Day 1 at SENDSCOPE! ✨📚

Today marked the first of our two INSET days as we get back to SENDSCOPE and prepare for the year ahead! 🌈

Our staff were fully engaged in a fantastic day of training, learning and preparation. We were also delighted to welcome Michelle from Restorative Practice, who delivered an insightful session focused on ensuring we are responding to and managing incidents appropriately, consistently and restoratively. 🤝💬

It was a great opportunity for our team to reflect, develop our practice and share ideas as we get ready for another successful year.

We’re feeling prepared, motivated and excited — and now we’re counting down to Thursday, when our pupils return! 🥰🎉

We can’t wait to have everyone back and get the new school year underway!

To everyone getting their GCSE results tomorrow — good luck! 🤞

Remember, your results do not define you. Yes, the grades you receive can open certain doors, but they are not a measure of your worth, your potential, or the person you will become.

If you get the results you hoped for, be proud of yourself and celebrate! 🎉👏If things don’t go the way you wanted, please don’t give up. There are always different routes, second chances and new opportunities. One set of results cannot determine your whole future.

Keep believing in yourself, keep moving forward and remember — this is just one chapter, not the whole story.

Wishing every single student the very best of luck tomorrow! 🍀🎓

🌍✨ Diversity & Culture Week has officially begun! ✨🌍

Today, our students kicked off the week with a wonderful visit to the beautiful chapel Sacred Heart Catholic Academy They had the opportunity to meet the Chaplain, learn about the rich history of the chapel, and explore its significance within the school community.

A huge thank you to everyone at Sacred Heart for giving our students such a warm welcome and for sharing this meaningful experience with us.

It was a fantastic way to begin our Diversity & Culture Week, encouraging learning, reflection, and an appreciation of different traditions and cultures. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the week has in store! 💙🌎

☀️ Outdoor PE in the Sunshine ☀️

Our students made the most of the beautiful weather this week during their outdoor PE lesson! 🌳🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

They had great fun taking part in a range of parachute activities, developing their communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills along the way. It was fantastic to see so many examples of outstanding teamwork, leadership, and encouragement as students worked together to complete each challenge.

Today, we were delighted to celebrate some of our outstanding students with a special Breakfast with the Principal.

These students achieved the highest number of achievement points over the past two weeks, demonstrating exceptional effort, positive attitudes, and exemplary behaviour in all that they do.

We are incredibly proud of their dedication and commitment, and it was wonderful to recognise and celebrate their success this morning. Keep up the fantastic work – you are setting a brilliant example for others to follow! 👏⭐

📢 OPEN EVENING POSTPONED 📢

Due to the exceptionally hot weather forecast and in the interest of the health, safety, and wellbeing of our students, families, visitors, and staff, the Open Evening scheduled for Thursday has been postponed.

The event will now take place on Tuesday 30th June, from 3:30pm to 4:30pm.

☀️ SCHOOL CLOSURE NOTICE ☀️

Due to the forecast of extremely hot weather tomorrow, THURSDAY 25th JUNE, and in the interest of the health, safety, and wellbeing of all students and staff, the school will be closed to all pupils and staff tomorrow.

The school will reopen as normal on Friday.
