Maths group recapped fractions, decimals and percentages by using matching cards before applying their understanding to different activities. 📚

English group explored persuasive writing and created their own Bee Smart leaflets. The children worked incredibly hard and were very proud of their finished pieces! 🐝✨

Maths we used base ten to support our understanding of place value.

Practising phonics sounds an playing phonics bingo. We also looked at apostrophes for contraction.

In today’s English session, students focused on creative poetry. Students analysed different poetic techniques and devices. Students then had to use what they have learned to create their own piece of poetry based upon their passions.

KS2 Maths, children exploring ways of finding percentages in a range of numbers around the class. Children found 10% and then used this knowledge to go round and find other percentages like 5% or 20%. This enabled them to then find other percentages

KS2 English, children writing a range of pronouns and coming up with joint ideas to then write a description.

KS2 English session focussing on improving sentences by adding stronger vocabulary and more detail to describe characters feelings and emotions. The children then used this knowledge to creatively write a narrative. ✏️📝

Students practised their writing skills by using a range of different literacy devices such as metaphor, smile to enhance their creative writing.

GCSE English: Today’s session included students working on their grammar and responses to unseen poetry.
