Huge congratulations to our PhD student Libby Robinson who was recognised last night at the Liverpool John Moores University Students’ Union Student Experience Awards as an Outstanding Postgraduate Researcher !

Libby has led the development of LJMU’s first-ever sensory room, based in LJMU School of Education and co-designed with level 5 students from our BA (Hons) Education and Special Educational Needs programme.

This is a pioneering achievement not only for LJMU but for the wider higher education sector. The space directly addresses a known gap in wellbeing provision for neurodivergent students and has already sparked important conversations around inclusive practice, accessibility and mental health.

We’re excited to see how Libby’s research continues to grow, as she works with participants to evaluate the impact of the space.

For more information or to get involved, feel free to contact Libby directly: [email protected]
