At Bright Little Kiddies, working in partnership with families is an important part of supporting children. Parents know their children best, so sharing information and staying involved helps practitioners understand each child's experiences and provide appropriate support.

Keeping that connection between home and nursery can make a real difference to how well everyone understands the child.

🎨 There isn't just one way for children to learn through play.

At Bright Little Kiddies, our curriculum includes child-initiated, adult-led and spontaneous play. This gives children different opportunities to become involved in experiences, explore their interests and develop their skills through play.

Sometimes children lead their own ideas, while at other times practitioners introduce experiences and support children as they explore something new.

🔍 How do practitioners know what your child is ready to learn next?

Observation is an important part of life at Bright Little Kiddies. Our practitioners observe children's skills, knowledge and experiences each day, helping them understand their development and identify appropriate next steps.

These observations help us build a picture of each child's individual learning journey rather than simply looking at what they can do at one particular moment.

🌿 Having access to the outdoors can make such a difference to a nursery day.

Bright Little Kiddies has a large outdoor space with an all-weather undercover area, giving children opportunities to enjoy outdoor experiences throughout the year. With free-flow access, children can move between their indoor and outdoor environments and explore in different ways as part of their day.
