Hi, I’m Kirsty, Assistant Manager at Angmering Day Nursery!

My journey in Early Years Education began straight after leaving school, when I completed my Level 3 qualification in Childcare. Since then, I’ve been fortunate to work in the sector I love, spending many years at my first nursery before moving to another local setting to broaden my experience and knowledge. Along the way, I also achieved my Level 4 qualification in Working with Children and Young People through Brighton University.

In September 2025, I joined Angmering Day Nursery as Deputy Manager, and from my very first day, I knew I had found somewhere special. Learning about the nursery, its values, and its nurturing ethos made me feel instantly at home.

Since joining the team, I have grown in confidence, expanded my knowledge, and progressed into my current role as Assistant Manager.

I truly love supporting our children, families, and team every day. The most rewarding part of my role is watching the children grow, develop, and gain the skills and confidence they need for the next stage of their lives.

I’m proud to be part of the Angmering Day Nursery family and look forward to continuing to support our wonderful children as they learn, play, and thrive. 💙

🎉 Day 6 – The final day of our 20th birthday week and time for the ‘grown-ups’ to celebrate 🎉

What a wonderful way to round off our 20th birthday week! Today, our amazing nursery team enjoyed a well-deserved afternoon of relaxation and celebration at the beautiful South Lodge Hotel & Spa.

Despite the wet and windy weather, we tucked into a delicious afternoon tea while taking in the stunning views. ☕🍰✨

We may have come home with very full tummies, but more importantly, we left feeling incredibly grateful and proud to be part of such a fantastic team. Our nursery’s success over the past 20 years is built on the dedication, support, and teamwork of our wonderful staff, and today was the perfect opportunity to celebrate that.

Here’s to 20 amazing years and many more to come! ❤️🥂

What an incredible week it has been so far. A huge thank you to all of our wonderful children for making our birthday celebrations so special. Your smiles, laughter, and excitement have made every moment unforgettable! ❤️

🎉✨ Day 4 of our 20th Birthday Celebrations! ✨🎉

What a fantastic morning we had welcoming Ashleigh from Ace of Paints to the nursery! 🎨🖌️ Using her incredible creative talents, Ashleigh transformed our children into a wonderful mix of unicorns 🦄, Spidermen 🕷️, tigers 🐯, Batmen 🦇, and so much more!

The nursery was bursting with colour, imagination, and lots of happy smiles by the end of the session. 😊

A huge thank you to Ashleigh for all of her hard work and amazing face-painting skills. We had such a magical morning and made lots of wonderful memories as part of our 20th birthday celebrations! 🎂🎈

🎉 Day 3 of our 20th Birthday Celebrations is off to an amazing start! 🎉

Today, the children enjoyed a fantastic Silent Disco, with equipment provided by The Silent DJ’s 🎧🕺💃

The moment the headphones went on and their favourite songs started playing, their faces lit up with excitement! Smiles, laughter, and plenty of dancing filled the room as everyone moved to the beat.

🎉🐐 Day 2 of Our 20th Birthday Celebrations! 🐑🐖

What a fantastic morning we’ve had! We were delighted to welcome Karina, Laura, and all their wonderful animals from Little Sherwood Farm. Thankfully, the rain stayed away, allowing everyone to enjoy a very special outdoor experience.

The children were absolutely thrilled to meet a variety of friendly animals, including goats, sheep, piglets, rabbits, ducks, guinea pigs, and more! 🐇🦆🐹

There were lots of smiles, plenty of excitement, and so many great questions as the children learned all about caring for the animals and life on the farm. It was a hands-on learning experience they won’t forget anytime soon!

A huge thank you to Little Sherwood Farm for helping make the second day of our 20th birthday celebrations so memorable and magical. ❤️🎂

Today marked the first day of our Nursery’s 20th Birthday celebrations, and what a fantastic start it was!

The nursery was beautifully transformed this morning with swathes of colourful balloons, expertly arranged by the talented Karolina from “Balloon Bar”.The children were delighted when Nicky from “Nuts About Magic” came to visit and create fun balloon models for everyone.

There were certainly a few popping noises throughout the morning , but every child who attended went home with a wonderful balloon creation and a big smile on their face!

A huge thank you to Karolina and Nicky for helping to make the first day of our celebrations so special and memorable. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the week brings! 🎈 🎈🎈🎈

✨ Our Approach to Early Years Learning ✨

We’re often asked why we don’t follow just one specific approach to early years education, such as Reggio Emilia, Montessori, or Forest School.

The answer is simple ….because every child is unique. 🌱

We believe that children learn in different ways, at different paces, and through different experiences. That’s why we take the time to explore a wide range of early years approaches and educational theories, carefully selecting the very best elements from each. By doing this, we create a truly personalised learning environment that meets the needs of every child in our care.

Our nursery offers a genuine “home from home” setting, based within a welcoming house on a residential street. With small group sizes and a high staff-to-child ratio, we’re able to provide meaningful, individualised support and build strong, nurturing relationships with every child.

It’s this thoughtful, flexible approach that makes our nursery so special, a place where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn every day. 💛

MEET THE TEAM!!

Hi, I’m Laura, Manager at Angmering Day Nursery 👋

I’ve been working in Early Years Education since leaving school, when I completed my Level 3 Childcare and Education qualification. After gaining experience in several local nurseries, I joined Angmering Day Nursery in 2009 as a practitioner, and I quickly knew it was the perfect fit for me. I loved the ethos, the environment, and the sense of community.

Over the past 17 years, I’ve had the pleasure of growing within the nursery…from practitioner to Deputy Manager, and now Manager, and I still enjoy every moment of what I do.

Along the way, I’ve continued to develop my knowledge and skills. I hold a Level 3 SENDCo qualification, allowing me to support children who may need a little extra help or have additional needs. I’ve also completed a Level 4 PANCo qualification, helping to ensure our children’s physical development and nutritional needs are fully supported.

A big part of my role is also supporting our children as they transition to school. I work closely with local reception teachers and even visit the children in their new classes to make sure they’re settling in happily and continuing to thrive.

Working at, and managing, Angmering Day Nursery has been my passion for many years. Watching children grow, learn, and develop is incredibly rewarding, and it’s always a privilege to be part of this important stage in children’s lives.
