River Beach Primary School

Year 6 wrote letters to the Blind Veterans this year. What a lovely response they received back.

Santa and the elves have been busy at River Beach today delivering gifts to every classroom. It was lovely hearing the children's conversations with Santa.
The raffle has been drawn - did you notice that the hampers were in the House colours?
Well done to everyone in the PTA who have been working hard this week for our children organising the discos and selling raffle tickets.
Chartwells made the Christmas dinner extra special by decorating their serving area and dressing up. The children loved it!

Tomorrow, Thursday 19th December is Christmas Jumper Day. Children do not need to wear school uniform, they can come in their own clothes, with a Christmas Jumper (or anything Christmassy!).

Last Wednesday, children from the Lighouse went on a trip to the supermarket to get groceries for baking xmas treats for our stay and play on Friday 20th. We followed maps to get there and used shopping lists to make sure we didn't forget anything.

This week, Year 3 took part in a STEM workshop run by Ali Khan, who runs a STEM club here at River Beach. The children were given the task of creating a paper bucket. They had to use the paper bucket to catch ping pong balls. The children rose to the occasion and worked incredibly well in their teams!

Year 1 have learnt lots in history about toys from the past and how they have changed over the years. We visited Littlehampton museum and decided to open our own toy museum to teach our families about toys from the past. We had lots of people for the grand opening!
