This week I made a tough decision to close down Jelly Tots for the foreseeable future. This was an incredibly hard decision to make but due to lack of little ones coming into our setting I have made the decision to return to work for a nursery. As sad as I am to be closing Jelly Tots, this really was my second baby, I am excited for my new adventure. I hope one day we will get to open our doors once more and welcome more little tots in.

However this isn't goodbye. I will still be here on Jelly Tots socials sharing all fun activities that I do with my son using the resources from the nursery on our days off together.

Today it is Autism Awareness Day and here at Jelly Tots we are all ready to celebrate with our sensory area set up, sensory squares laid out and ready and lots of puzzles engage the mind. Plus our book of the week which is called 'its okay to be different' by Sharon Purtill all about inclusivity and being kind to others.

Today our Jelly Tots will get to dress up in their favourite colour to show individuality and express their interests. Cannot wait to see what colours we have in the nursery today 🌈🧩

Some Easter bank holiday activities .. setting up some of the activities that were planned for this week so you can see what we would have done. Our little superstar who is back on his feet loved exploring these today. First time back in the play room and garden all week and whilst there's no photos it's safe to say these activities went down a treat 👏

At Jelly Tots we take the health and wellbeing of all children within our care or visiting our setting very seriously. This is why after a case of Scarlett Fever from our very own little Jelly Tot I closed down the nursery for the week to deep clean and Milton everything. And I mean everything. Here is a list of some but not all of the things that I have ensured received a deep clean this week;
- Both Ball Pools and Balls
- All toys from all play areas inside and out
- Furniture
- Playmats
- Books
- Outdoor play equipment
- Sand removed and replaced with new sand

Soon our nursery will be Easter ready and open .. even if the Easter activities may be a little belated 🐰
