Highlights from last nights class. A good turn out for our last mixed class and back to basics practicing that kata. Remember kata/form is a good way to practice at home as long as you're doing those moves correctly otherwise you are training bad habits. Think the junior senpai's had fun doing the corrections tho 😆

Some highlights from last Friday's lesson. Really good work from everyone doing the basics getting some real power behind their strikes. Lets just remember to do them when we need them.

Highlights from last nights lesson. Well done to josh for grading his senior orange belt. So close to top marks. This is why we push the basics so much, we concentrate on the techniques we're doing and forget them. Remember punch, block, weakener... see you all next week with more gradings.

Highlights from last Friday's lesson. A good effort by all ready for grading next week. Details on that to follow. Nice to see some of the safety tips are sticking. Remember to ask your parents to go through with you the details you need to Remember, your name, address and parents phone number. Also where can you go for a safe place and who do you ask for? Keep safe guys

Highlights from Friday's class, the junior black belts showing our our new senpai colours to make it easier for students to identify senior members that are there to help. Just look for the black or blue for help. Really good effort also that now we have a clearer picture of those that will be ready for grading. Can I also remind EVERYONE if you are struggling in anyway way, not just with things on the mat, that we the sensei's (black) are now trained to help and we're here to listen if you want to talk or just vent. Those that have been with us for some time I hope will testify we are more than just instructors, we are family run to create a safe family environment.

Highlights from last night's class, and definitely think we need to go back to basics and make sure everyone is getting those right. Also tried abit of Hojojitsu (rope restraints) in the senior clas last night for the junior black belts. Remember the 3 things I want to get across to every student that comes through the door. Respect, not just for the instructor but partners and yourself. Discipline, for yourself to focus on what you are there for and push yourself to be the best you can be. Grow your confidence, not just for what you do on the mat but outside the dojo in everything you do.
