Hedgehog Class enjoyed a special trip to Berwick Church. We looked at the artwork within the church and the beauty of nature surrounding the church.
We did lots of activities including candle decorating, leaf bashing to create a leaf banner, we played I-spy and we went on a mini pilgrimage through the fields to pick flowers and leaves to create a stunning display.
The children were involved in lots of activities which encouraged them to use their senses to explore God’s world around them. 🦔⛪️🕯️🍃🌼✝️

On Thursday our Year 6 children and their Reception buddies enjoyed a trip Wilderness Wood. Together they built epic dens, explored the woodland, solved problems, and let their creativity flourish through play.

This special tradition is so much more than a day in the woods. It provides a valuable opportunity for our oldest and youngest children to work together, support one another, and build lasting friendships. The Year 6 children develop leadership, patience and responsibility, while the Reception children gain confidence, encouragement and a trusted role model by their side.

A truly magical day that reminds us just how powerful learning and growing together outdoors can be.

Our Year 6 children enjoyed our Forest School shade today 🌿🍕

We made the most of the cooler morning by preparing and cooking delicious homemade pizzas over the fire.

In the afternoon, the children embraced a slower pace, creating their own nature-inspired sketchbooks before finding a quiet spot to connect with the natural world. Inspired by The Lost Words, they explored poetry and painting in the shade, encouraging creativity, mindfulness and a deeper appreciation of the environment.

To finish the day, we enjoyed sun oven-melted marshmallows, followed by some refreshing water games – the perfect way to celebrate a day of learning, laughter and friendship.
