🌟 Our Wonderful New Reception Class! 🌟

What a fantastic start our new Reception children have made! 💛 Today they absolutely loved exploring our new Early Years outdoor space – climbing, building, creating, investigating and, most importantly, having lots of fun together! 🌿🧱✨

It has been wonderful to see so many happy faces, new friendships beginning to blossom and our children growing in confidence as they explore their new environment.

We are so proud of how brilliantly they are settling into life at Kings Lander. What an exciting year we have ahead! 🌈💫

It’s September, that means starting school! 🎒

We’re wishing all children, but especially those starting Reception, a brilliant year ahead. ✨

Starting school is a big milestone, but it's the small, everyday moments, like getting dressed independently, sharing, getting along with others and being able to talk about how they are feeling, that will give them the confidence to settle in at school.

Yesterday we said goodbye to our amazing Year 6 children as they leave Lander Road for their next adventure. We are so proud of everything you have achieved and wish you every success and happiness in secondary school. 🌟
We also send our very best wishes to Mr Halsall as he retires after over 25 years at Lander Road. Thank you for your dedication, support and the difference you have made to generations of children and families. Enjoy a long, happy and well-deserved retirement! 💚

Yesterday was a truly memorable and emotional day at King's Lander Primary. 💙

Our incredible Year 6 children gave a fantastic performance in their Leavers' Assembly, singing beautifully and sharing memories that reflected just how much they have grown during their time with us. They made everyone in the audience incredibly proud.

One of the most touching moments was a new tradition of the Year 6 children handing their school ties to our new Reception children, symbolising the passing of the baton as one group embarks on their next adventure and another begins their own King's Lander journey.

Yesterday also marked the end of an era as we said a heartfelt farewell to our Vice Principal, Mr Sheerin, after 15 years of dedicated service to our school community. We are incredibly grateful for the care, commitment and leadership he has shown over the years, and we wish him every success as he begins an exciting new chapter in his career as a Headteacher.

It was a day filled with smiles, laughter, pride and more than a few tears. We wish our amazing Year 6 pupils every success as they begin the next stage of their education. You will always be part of the King's Lander family. 💙

What a fantastic first few hours at Crosby Hall for our Year 6! We’ve already enjoyed lots of exciting activities, including abseiling, archery and problem-solving challenges. The children have shown great teamwork, resilience and enthusiasm throughout the day. We can’t wait to see what adventures tomorrow brings! 🌟🏹🧗‍♂️😊
