✨📚 A reminder to our school leavers that Liss Infant and Junior Schools open morning tomorrow 📚✨

A little reminder to our First Steps families with children who will be starting Reception in September — Liss Infant School are holding an Open Morning tomorrow from 10am–12pm.

We’re so lucky to have such a lovely local school right on our doorstep, with an incredible team who will be happy to show you around and answer any questions you may have about the transition to school. 💛

If Liss Infant School is one of the schools you’re considering, we’d really recommend popping along, having a look around and getting a feel for the setting yourselves.

🍂 A little autumn delivery! 🍁

The children have been busy creating some beautiful autumnal leaves for Chapplins of Liss Estate Agents window display. Today, we took a little walk into the village to deliver them ourselves! 🤎

Of course, no walk is complete without stopping to watch the trains along the way 🚂🥰

We can’t wait to see the children’s lovely creations on display! 🍁✨

🐛 Did you know we have a room dedicated to our 2-year-olds and under?

Meet our Caterpillars! 🌈

Our Caterpillar room gives our youngest children their own dedicated space, with provision carefully tailored to their age, stage of development and individual needs.

Our Caterpillars also enjoy their own time in the garden, giving them the opportunity to explore, play and build confidence at their own pace, away from the busier play of our older children. 🌿

But we also know how valuable it is for little ones to learn from those around them, so throughout the day we create opportunities for our Caterpillars and older children to come together- building relationships, developing confidence and learning from one another. 🥰

✨ And a little reminder…

First Steps Preschool is now open 47 weeks of the year, while still offering term-time only places for families who prefer that option.

We welcome children from 1–5 years old, and if you’d like to find out more about our setting, availability or arrange a visit, please get in touch. 🤍

It’s been so lovely having everyone back at preschool this week 🤍

Our days have been filled with lots of smiles, play, exploring and reconnecting with friends after the summer break.

The children have been enjoying plenty of time in the garden, getting stuck into their favourite activities and helping our new little ones begin to feel happy, safe and settled in their new surroundings. 🌿✨

We’re so proud of how beautifully everyone is settling back into preschool life and we’re looking forward to all the fun, learning and memories this new year will bring. 🥰

We have loved catching up with most of the children this week and finding out what fun they have been up to this summer!

The team have enjoyed their time off and here is a little glimpse of what everyone has been up to!

Brooke went to see Bruno Mars, had a holiday to Portugal as well as catching up with friends and spa days! 🛀🏼

Jess spent some time in Weymouth as well as Cornwall and enjoyed the yearly tradition of Sam's Sunflowers in Hayling Island. 🌻

Lisa enjoyed a holiday to Mallorca, which was very hot! But had lovely markets and lots of kittens roaming around 😻

Steph had lots of days out including Lazer tag at Alice Holt and Victorious festival as well as having family down to visit. 🥳

Lynda spent lots of her time at Wisely exploring the Lego exhibition they had. She was also able to catch up with friends, family and the rest of the team 🥰

Laura had a lovely holiday to Fuerteventura with her mum as well as cinema trips! 🛩️

Kelly went away for a few days to a lodge with a hot tub which sounded very relaxing! Also managing to fit in trips to the new forest, beach and the fun fair! 🏖️

Gemma spent her time off relaxing, reading lots of books, enjoying food food and spending time with her family and fur babies 🐕

First Day Back 🌈

Today we welcomed some of our new children for their settling-in sessions and introduced them to our First Steps family 🤍

Tomorrow we’re ready to get back into the full swing of things! We can’t wait to see our returning children and hear all about their summer holidays.
