Your child isn’t meant to know it all!

Ballroom dancing is an art form that can be, if they wish, a lifelong endeavour, one that requires patience, practice and time to master.

Let them struggle. Let them be uncomfortable in that first term when they join. Let them discover that they can do hard things.

That love of dance and the reason you signed them up hasn’t vanished. They just need the space and time to build self-trust and confidence.

Because letting them quit every time something feels difficult can accidentally reinforce the belief that “if I find something hard, I should stop.”

And we don’t want that.

In all our years of teaching, we know every child is unique. Dance can become one of the most powerful and valuable parts of their lives if we allow them the opportunity and the freedom to discover it for themselves.

Be their biggest supporter. Encourage them. Listen to them. But don’t always rush in to make the difficult bits disappear.

In a world where dance can look effortless and everything is geared towards quick gratification and instant likes, let’s teach our children something far more valuable:

That they don’t need to be instantly good at something to be worthy of doing it. They just need to be brave enough to keep going long enough to discover what they’re capable of.

We’re very excited to see one of our students, Madison, embark on her Level 3 Certificate for Dance Teaching Assistant.

This is such a fantastic opportunity to develop not only her knowledge of dance, but also the skills needed to support and inspire others in the studio.

The course covers safe dance practice, syllabus knowledge, understanding teaching methods, and the foundations of becoming an effective teaching assistant. A brilliant combination of practical and theoretical learning.

We’re incredibly proud of you, Madison, and we can’t wait to guide you as well as see you continue to grow and develop on this journey!
