Game Changer has come to an end and we would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who got involved and made it a success!

Together we built on the foundations of support and inclusion to help young people to navigate their paths. On the whole making a positive impact across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly🙌

Game Changer has run over the last 6 years and to date has engaged with 1805 young people, 59% of which going into employment, education or training!

Real Ideas has worked alongside some fantastic partners that include: Cornwall Marine Network, Eden Project, Pentreath LTD, Creative Kernow and White Gold. Together, providing support to young people who are not in employment or education and based in Cornwall & The Isle of Scilly, helping them find their path💡

During her time on Game Changer, Chloe explored the health and social care sector by working with Pentreath and some other amazing organisations ⭐

She is now studying Criminology at university whilst working as a Health Care Assistant in forensic mental health and applying for a PHD!

Throughout Game Changer, participants were empowered to explore their interests and challenge themselves to grow. Now looking back at what we have achieved as a team, one of our navigators highlighted the following as best bits that reflect the support we gave…

✔️Our sessions in Redruth that created safe spaces to allow chatting and learning
✔️Innovative enterprise challenges such as the creating a business concept and product in a day
✔️Eden Apple Academy which saw young people learn about food safety and customer service

Yesterday we got up to some barista training with Yallah Roasters!

The group covered topics such as green beans, bean roasting and packaging, making espresso and foaming milk. After being shown and then supported in making their first latte, everyone got stuck in and keep practicing coffee after coffee☕

A massive thank you to Josh Yallah Coffee Roasters for such great training⭐

Over the last six weeks we have been working on our music skills with the wonderful Ryan, who is part of Asone and an independent musician 🎼

Young people have been recording and producing their own songs whilst having creative input from a professional. The goal for the end of the last session to have a finalised, mixed song and be issued with digital badges to present their achievements on their cv or LinkedIn!
