🌍 This week, Willow Class has officially become Planet Protectors! After conducting primary research in geography, our students investigated how they travel to school and the impact it has on our environment. 🌱 They created eye-catching posters to raise awareness about the consequences of traveling alone in cars and proposed actionable changes to help reduce emissions.

Let's all take a step towards a greener planet! 🚶‍♂️🚴‍♀️

🌟 Big Steps for Our Little Acorns! 🌟
Today, we are feeling incredibly proud (and just a little bit emotional! ) as we celebrate our wonderful Nursery Graduation!

Watching these amazing children grow, learn, and play has been an absolute joy for us all here at Braddock. They have filled our days with so much laughter, curiosity and so many beautiful memories! 🥰

But as the saying goes: “Great oaks from little acorns grow!” 🌱

We are so excited to announce that our Acorns have officially graduated and are getting ready to branch out into Cherry Class for the next part of their big school adventure in September! We know they are going to achieve amazing things, and we can't wait to see them continue to shine in Reception!🌟

To our wonderful parents and carers, thank you for trusting us with your precious little ones and for being such a supportive part of our school family. 🤝💖 Join us in wishing our brand new Cherry Class the biggest congratulations!

🪄 Is that a mini witch or wizard I spy? 🧙‍♀️🪄

We had the most magical time at our Stay and Play session today, exploring the wonderful world of Julia Donaldson’s Room on the Broom! 🧹💨

The children were absolute superstars as we read the story together, helped the witch find her lost hat and bow, and talked about the importance of friendship and sharing (because there’s always room on the broom!).

The highlight of the day was definitely our potion-making station, where the children got to design and create their very own magical wands! Using glitter, shiny ribbons, stars and paint they tapped into their amazing imaginations to bring their wands to life ✨

There was a lot of "Iggety, ziggety, zaggety, ZOOM!" echoing around the room as they practiced casting their spells! 🐸🐱🪵

Thank you to everyone who joined us today and filled the room with so much creativity and laughter. We loved seeing you all work together to create such magical memories!

🚀 Preparing to zoom into the new school year! 🚀

We had the most fantastic transition morning welcoming our upcoming Reception superstars into the classroom today! The children settled in beautifully and filled the morning with big smiles and brilliant imagination.

Here’s a little peek into our adventures today:

📖 Storytime: We loved exploring the story Whatever Next! and imagining our own trips up the chimney and into space.

🛠️ Creative Play: Inspired by Baby Bear, our little astronauts worked hard designing and building their very own rockets.

🤝 Making Connections: Best of all, we saw so much kindness as the children began sharing, playing, and making wonderful new friends!

Thank you to all of our brave and enthusiastic little learners, you should be so proud of yourselves! We can’t wait for more adventures together next week! 🌟

🐻 We had an exciting EYFS settling in session with our new Reception children! They dove into the beloved story "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?" 🦁🐸

The children got creative and made their own animal masks, bringing the story to life as they retold it with enthusiasm! It was wonderful to see their imaginations flourish and their confidence grow.

We can't wait to continue this journey with our little learners as they prepare for their exciting new start in September! 🌟📚

A huge congratulations to our Tag Rugby Tournament team!

You represented us brilliantly and should be incredibly proud of yourselves. Throughout the tournament, you showed fantastic teamwork, determination, courage, and resilience, giving your very best in every match.

It was wonderful to see such positive attitudes, sportsmanship, and enthusiasm on display. Every player contributed to making the day a great success, and your hard work truly paid off.
We are so proud of you all, and your medals are thoroughly deserved. Well done on an amazing achievement!

Elm made us all very proud on our Bear Hunt! They showed incredible resilience and friendship throughout our fantastic outdoor adventure, well done Elm! 🐻

Cherry Class have dived into the world of 2D and 3D shapes. They have practised spotting and naming their attributes (like sides and corners), and then took on a big challenge: combining different shapes to construct a brand-new single shape!

Then the children used their own wonderful ideas to use shapes to create rocket ships to castles, the creativity and spatial thinking on display today was incredible! ❤️

Elm are really enjoying their DT this term, creating marvellous mechanisms! This week we added camels with lever legs to our desert and ice skating slider penguins to our South Pole.
