Naomi Orr School of Dance brings three major achievements back to Lisburn, proudly representing the city on the Golden Dance Awards NI stage.
Naomi Orr School of Dance (NOSOD) is celebrating an incredible achievement following the recent Golden Dance Awards NI, where the Lisburn-based dance school proudly represented its city and came away with three fantastic accolades.
The success is a particularly special achievement for the school, as Naomi Orr School of Dance was the only dance school respresting Lisburn City to win these sections at the awards and has proudly brought these prestigious achievements back to the local community.
The school was recognised with:
🏆 Medium Dance School of the Year – Northern Ireland
🏆 Top Performance School – Jazz
🏆 Shining Star Award – Megan Mateer
For owner and principal Naomi Orr, the recognition is a hugely proud moment for both the school and its dancers.
“We are absolutely overwhelmed and incredibly proud. To be recognised at this level is a huge achievement for our dancers, teachers, families and our entire NOSOD team.
“What makes it even more special is knowing that we were proudly representing Lisburn City. We are passionate about putting Lisburn on the dance map and showing what can be achieved by a local dance school with hard work, dedication and an amazing community behind us.
“Every award represents hours of rehearsals, commitment, determination and the support of our incredible dance families. We couldn't be prouder of every single one of our dancers.”
The achievement adds to what has already been an incredibly successful period for Naomi Orr School of Dance, with the school continuing to build a strong reputation across a wide range of dance and performing arts disciplines, including Modern/Jazz, Ballet, Tap, HipHop, Lyrical, Contemporary, Acro, Musical Theatre, Technique & Stretch and Parent & Toddler classes.
From its youngest Parent & Toddler dancers taking their first steps into dance, through to dancers competing and performing at a high level across Northern Ireland and beyond, NOSOD prides itself on providing opportunities for dancers of all ages and abilities.
The school is particularly proud of its reputation for developing young performers and giving local dancers opportunities to learn, perform, compete and achieve, while creating a welcoming and supportive environment for its dance families.
For NOSOD, these latest awards are not simply trophies — they are recognition of the hard work, passion and dedication of an entire dance community.
